i will be surprised if we win but not shocked. our defense is good, our offense has some weapons. if i had any trust in clapper and linehan i might expect it to be close.

Dallas has a good defense and pass rush, but the thing is so do the Vikings and the Rams. Hunter and Donald registered zero sacks and a handful of pressures against the Saints because the quality of the Saints OL. The one caveat is that Armstead is hurt now and replaced by Bushrod. At his age, he's not the caliber of Armstead but Brees also gets rid of the ball so quickly too. Interesting theater.
The other side of the coin is that Cowboys have given up what? 38 sacks compared to Saints 11? Jordan and Rankins, who are both playing at a Pro Bowl level, have to like that.
Can Zeke run on the #1 or #2 rush defense in the NFL? Saints linebacking corps under Anzalone, Davis, and Klein is the best New Orleans has had in years. Can Dak pick on Eli Apple? Can the Cowboys stop Thomas, Kamara, and Ingram while understanding that Atlanta tried to do that and got 4 TDs scored on them by UDFAs. Brees just needs a small window. I mean that TD throw to Thomas against the Eagles was double covered extremely well but Drew still fit it in there. I don't know what else Philly could have done?
I think it is going to be a closer game than people think. For one, it is in Jerry World, and both teams always seem extremely motivated when they play. If New Orleans gets to 30, Dallas has a very tough road IMO. That offense is not built to get in a shootout. If there are some turnovers and it gets a bit sloppy keeping the score down, Cowboys have a good shot IMO.

i can easily see the cowboys being 6-7 in two weeks. i think they have improved and all things being equal they are the best team in the nfc east right now.
i dont see how they dont get blown out by the saints. im hoping they keep it close. i expect them to lose this game but bounce back next week.
dont see them making any noise in the playoffs.
washington at eagles is big for our division. most likely its a three way tie for first after this week.

then almost lost it. that big 1st down conversion was something else.
in this game i feel the turnovers (including coopers) were more about the saints making big plays and having a little luck. not a whole lot dak or cooper could had done to prevent the ball coming out.
i dont understand how cooper was laying on the ball and didnt get it on his fumble though.

even if i thought the defense could "shut them down" i expected the saints to score at least 20. looking back on it this was the only way the cowboys would win.
i havent seen the defense play this well all season. if it wasnt for the gregory penalties they were basically flawless.
the offense is still eh
big win though. i enjoyed the first half then was stressed out the whole second half.
i could have used a zeke touchdown at the end there but im good with the win lol

What he did to the Giants offense put an exclamation point on their capabilities to me, so while I'm shocked Dallas won, what they did to N.O.'s offense kind of had some foreshadowing earlier in the year (not comparing N.O. to N.Y. offenses by any stretch)

The defense is looking great because the offense is domination the TOP and giving the defense a chance to breathe between possessions.
Maybe I’m just holding to Joe because he’s been at the forefront of the longest period of sustained success in this franchise’s history and because I believe he catches more hell than he deserves. Guess I better get my mind ready to move on into a new era.

I checked out more than a couple of weeks ago. Hard to go in with ECF expectations and end up as shitty as we were the first several weeks. I just shifted my weekend work from Saturday to Sunday and went about my merry way.
If people were more judgmental of Rodgers, he’d be taking heat for McCarthy getting shitcanned midseason. It was time a long time ago but still...a high paid qb out there pouting and slumping his shoulders damn near a decade removed from his last sb run should at least earn a side-eye.
