"ESPN Report: Irving explored in a trade for Kawhi (via Bomani/Pablo)"

There were reports that Kyrie was offered back in February as well - and it's once again being explored.

How dare they or nah?

about the attempt at the deadline, but he never mentioned who they offered. Just that the offer was declined and there was no counter.

That's due diligence from the GMs involved. We have no indicator of how serious it was or is

He's probably not in their long term plans NOW but if they got rid of Kyrie then for sure.

I can't imagine the Spurs not requiring Tatum though.

but brown/leonard/tatum/hayward/horford would be their best 5. someone from that group would have to do it, because otherwise who sits for rozier in the last 5 min?

People say Kyrie isn't a "true PG," but Rozier has a notably lower assist rate than Kyrie.

He also hasn't proven that he can shoot past a two-month run at the end of last season, but I'll chill, lol.

Or, rather, if they did it, it would be a huge, colossal mistake.

Float Jaylen Brown if you need. Float other pieces and picks too. Shit, even Hayward, though I doubt Stevens would do that, as that's his guy. But they showed in the ECF how badly they need a guy like Kyrie running the offense. I don't think Danny's stupid enough to do it. He'll be content realizing that a healthy Celtics would've made the Finals this year as constructed, something that will be made even easier next year assuming Bron leaves.

I want:

Rozier
Tatum
Two first round picks out of the four the Celtics have

Who says no? Ky is injured too much and in a contract year.Leonard + Ky + Heyward + Brown + Smart should get them to the finals easily.

about this and did so competently - unlike Dilbert & The Cavs who sloppily explored Ky on the trading block.

Hayward was the top FA on the market and had no serious injuries. Of course what I meant was that the deal made more sense *for Boston* since they are getting a 3 back and don't really have a firm starting PG. It'd have to be Hayward+ but a deal with Irving for him leaves them a little thin in one spot and with a big surplus at another.
