Gary Russell Jr is doing his yearly title defense. I wish the guy would be more active professionally, but hey it's his career. I don't really see Diaz being able to pull this one off, as he looks sorta unpolished to me, but we'll see.
40 yr old power puncher Adonis Stevenson is facing the fundamentally sound straight-up-and-down Badou Jack in the main event. This could be a winnable fight for Jack, but has to look out for that left. Stevenson moves like an old man on his feet imo, but he's still dangerous... should be an interesting one.

Diaz fought with all heart until the final bell despite nearly getting shutout. I even thought that the last knockdown that was ruled a push just *might* have been a legit liver shot knockdown. Russell looked like he was gassing a bit as Diaz went for the hail mary in round 12. With the way the fight had gone and the way the scorecards looked, Russell still would've won even he'd gotten knocked down once tho. Congrats to Russell Jr. The hand speed is still top notch.

Ref let Stevenson survive and hold on over and over, and the first time Jack held, he gets a warning, so it's like the ref is on Stevenson's side, but Jack is looking great in these latter rounds.

4th draw in Jack's career, wow. I thought he did enough to pull it off at the end, but he was indeed pretty quiet in the early rounds. Meh. An immediate rematch should be ordered here. The one judge who didn't score it as a draw did give it to Jack, and 72% of voters thought Jack won. Stevenson was beaten up and bleeding. Jack definitely deserves a rematch.

I agree with what Paulie said about the 10 point scoring in boxing. Yes Jack could've done more in the early rounds but clearly it was strategy. Jack beat the shit outta him. Jack has beat the shit outta everyone his last four fights. He's giving career changing ass whoppings. Hell he ruined Degale and he put the nail in Stevenson's coffin. Jack isn't flashy but he's a really good technical fighter.

Stevenson looked horrible after the 6th round and like others have said, that ref was terrible. Had Stevenson not been able to hold the second half of the fight, he woulda been knocked out. But either way Badu Jack fought a really good fight and deserves that rematch.

Jack's ceiling is like a B. At some point Jack has to go get it. He was in with a 40 year old man with no legs by round 7. This is his 4th draw. He was aggressive but still too cautiously aggressive. You are fighting for his title. I really like Jack but at some point he is going to have to start taking risk.

waiting Stevenson out a bit, he took way too long to get started. And apparently it's a trend so hopefully he can be earlier from here on rematch or not and fight moving forward more.

I know he'll probably do a rematch...
but I think he's given all he's got... he pretty much shut it down the 2nd half of the fight....and fortunately was able to dig and put some flurries together to steal a couple rounds and pull out the draw..
