Yes - Reinsdorf (sp) and Krause were known for being difficult - but nobody questioned the Bulls and their ability to create a first-class coaching staff and championship caliber team. They were first-rate, period.

Well - the facts show that he has more playoff buzzer-beaters and playoff game-winners than anyone in NBA history - including Jordan (who I still rate as #1 GOAT). Lebron is ridiculously clutch when it matters most (in the playoffs), has hit more walk-off game winners than anyone in the post-season, hasn't lost a game 7 since 2008 (and performs better (via advanced analytics) than anyone in recorded history in game 7's -- so how else should we measure "clutchness"? Should we measure using your hurt feelings?

You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who appreciates Lebron more than I do. The better questions is: why do so many allow Skip Bayless/Rob Parker dogma to prevent them from enjoying what they're witnessing in real time? He's the only player in the history of the game who has had an entire media personality/show created to denigrate his character, "clutchness", and achievements. They are basically the Hannitys and O'Reillys out there peddling anti-Obama hatred via lunacy logic.

Except he lost the series - in his prime - and didn't perform well at all in that game 7. Was he ever perceived as "not clutch" by basketball Tucker Carlsons?

which is my point: Hitting a walk-off buzzer beater in the playoffs is a *big* deal. Hell, hitting one during the regular season is a big deal. There's a reason why only the elite of the elite have multiple walk-offs in the 'offs.
Jordan's not gonna lose any championships at this point and Lebron's not gonna un-lose any, which is really all that's really worth separating them with at this point.

i'll say this, tho - watching lebron drag a shopping cart full of deadbeats thru this first round at 33yrs old/15 years in has been nothing short of spectacular. i get why the stans stan. no qualifiers for that. there's only 1 other name that should be mentioned in the same breath as him.

^This has been the predominate viewpoint of the Skip Bayless disciples - and like birtherism - you don't want to look at the facts and reality.
You say "reluctance to take the last shot" - but James has *made* (and taken) more shots in the last 5 seconds of playoff games than the GOAT (Jordan). He's made more buzzer-beaters and game-winners than *anyone* in NBA history. So to even imply that he's reluctant to take the last shot is not just absurd on its face, it's helplessly inaccurate and wrong when you actually look at the evidence/body of work.

It's amazing how a couple of games in the Dallas series was used to erase all of his previous accomplishments in big games. But yes - since 2011 he's gone on the most historic 7-year run the game has ever seen, yet *still* there are those who won't acknowledge his greatness in the clutch.
