"NBA 3/14 | Super Saiyan Zo & Randle at Oracle"

Lakers are fun AF to watch. Crypto may be degrading steadily, but I'm HODL on that Zo Ball stock.

Dubs get the injury bug w/ Green, Curry & Klay all out.

Wiz mounting a comeback in Boston

Bucks in a bad loss v. Magic

Heat need a win in SAC

You gotta know when to stir the shit and when the juice isn’t worth the squeeze

Now I imagine when you’re that small you have to go above and beyond to project an alpha’s confidence.

But twice this season he was installed in environments where existing relationships were already in place when he got there. Talking about Kevin Love when Love already won a chip for that team? Prodding Randle, when Randle’s been in the trenches with these same dudes since the Summer? There’s a time and place dude.

That said, Luke ran that lineup with Wear/Ennis/Caruso for WAY too deep into the fourth. Then he inserted Randle and IT, then he took Randle back out. I'm thinking they were in the doghouse for something, either that beef or their defense or both.

We've basically had a 8 man rotation for the last month due to the injuries - I was happy that Luke didn't give in to the game and force minutes during the back to back.

Lonzo Ball was a menace on defense last night.

Denver shot just 4-of-21 when guarded by Lonzo, per @NBAcom.
Gary Harris: 4/12. Will Barton 0/6. Jamal Murray: 0/3.

Zo also had 9 defensive rebounds, 7 deflections, 3 steals and 2 blocks.

He had a decent all-around game with poor shooting. No more, no less.

I was just calling out your lazy and disingenuous "analysis". No one thought the Lakers drafted Lonzo for his point production just like no one thought the Sixers drafted Simmons for his jump shot.

If he qualified...he'd be top 10 in assists per game

7 boards per game is the same as Larry Jr

1 block per game is the same as Deandre Jordan

If he qualified...he'd be top 10 in steals per game

...but yes, his shooting numbers need to improve...

He's a one-of-a-kind in the league. You have plenty volume scorers. What you don't have are versatile swiss army knife players like Zo who can do a little bit of everything and employ a pass-first, up-tempo style that looks to get teammates easy shots.

Zo gonna be a really, really good player in this League.

were his defense and his shot. Looks like that shot is going to be an ongoing battle (his % has cooled off the past few games) but his defense has been STELLAR.

Easily one of the best young defensive guards in the league right today. His high BBIQ has translated really well onto the defensive end and he's got great instincts to boot.

It's obviously early, but working on his weaknesses doesn't seem like it's going to be an issue in his career (other than the catapult).

simmons does literally everything you just mentionned better than Zo does. and the reason both of them are pass first is because they can't score yet, which is fine for young players, but let's not pretend their weaknesses are strengths. Only so good you can be if you can't drop 20 per game.

I'm curious how this was kept in check during his stint in Boston.

Can't believe it's the first game we've without Steph and Klay since they were on the roster at the same time. But it was nice to see seven players in double-figures so that KD doesn't have to do all the scoring every night. Good contributions by Cook, Looney, Casspi, and ZaZa.

Mostly it's about getting healthy. Klay is out two weeks. They're saying at least another week for Steph, so that probably means two as well. Draymond's shoulder has been bothering him all year, so I wouldn't be shocked if they kept him out as long as the Splash Bros. The West injury with the cysts is kinda weird. Fortunately Iggy and Bell were back last night.

Seems like we're content with resting everyone and just getting the #2 seed and having the team as healthy as possible for the play-offs. However, the rest of the schedule is soft enough that we have a chance to end up in first even with everyone resting.
