Sure, it'd piss off the NCAA... but what would the NCAA do about it? Louisville's ultimately a major revenue stream for the NCAA.
Those wins'll be vacated in the NCAA books... but if Louisville just keeps rocking status quo in their stadium decorations like the NCAA didn't say shit... what's in the by-laws to prevent Louisville from keeping that banner up?

So the ruling specifically mentions that they must take down banners that commemorate the vacated title. Fair enough.
But what if they just put up a banner with the names of the players from the title team? Or just a banner that says "April 2013"? Or just a winking, grinning cardinal banner that happens to be wearing a ring that looks suspiciously like a championship ring?
