as to suggest a head coaching change. that would be a tad drastic.
theres a variety of issues that have plagued this team for the couple of years but to me the biggest is the complete abandonment of the run game. it was always about the power run game and feeding Hyde and then Zeke in 2014. in 2015 we got away from that and it became the JT barrett show and the results have been awful...just a real disjointed mess.
this needs to return to a power run team where the RUNNING BACK is getting 25-30 carries per game. maybe this happens next year by default with Haskins under center since he can't run.

And while he deserved another year to get the program turned around, he just wasn't a Texas 'guy' in the way Mack was or I guess Herrmann is. It probably wasn't going to work out at some point because that's just how entitled many of UT's fans are - it's not good enough to win, they have to win their way.
But I can't see why folks thought Herrmann was going to turn the program around in a year. I'm not talking about you specifically, MEAT.
The talent was better with Strong there after Mack left. But none of those guys have really won before and I don't think Herrmann turned around UH in short order.
The fans mostly want Frost but not sure he will even want it just cuz he played for them. He may decide Florida is a better fit, better recruiting, etc.
The days of Huskers being relevant are probably long gone but when you see Iowa fight the way they did this weekend, its got to be partly a coaching problem. There is no fight in these guys at all this year.
