His pops over there cussing him out after every round and stuff. I damn near felt bad for dude. "YOU AIN'T GON WIN LIKE THIS! THROW YA PUNCHES!" "I can't"
Andrade took all his tools away, and just made him look like he didn't belong in there. Kinda crazy to me that the commentators give casuals so much credence to casuals who might think it "boring" to watch such masterful work in the ring. Just ignore that mess, and talk to the true boxing fans. It's like golf commentators constantly going on about what non-golf fans are gonna think about how slow the game is moving. I don't watch golf, but I'd be surprised if that ever happens. I enjoy watch both Andrade AND Lara box. There's a reason it's called the "sweet science" and it'd be nice if the commentators would educate viewers on what they're watching rather bowing to their ignorance.
That Corrales/Machado fight was hella interesting tho. I wasn't very familiar with either fighter, but ultimately wasn't very impressed with either of them either. The commentators were out there saying Corrales might be a good fight for Lomechenko, but the kid was FARRR too sloppy to get anything going against Loma... even though he was catching Machado with those overhand lefts like crazy.... which I thought just exposed how weak Machado's defense and adjustment was. Ultimately, that wild ass style is what got him KO'd.

Jermall already moved up to 160, and now Jermell is talking about doing it too, so looks like somebody has to clash with Andrade at some point. Canelo is the one who definitely dodged Andrade when Boo Boo had the WBO title, but he jumped to fight Liam Smith after Andrade was stripped.
We argue about this all the time, to reach that elusive superstardom realm in boxing you need need to have one of two things, powerful people representing you or a style that is fan friendly. You either marketable or stretching jokers out. Right now Andrade has neither. It doesn't matter that he is arguably the best boxer in the division. I would say he is slightly more offensive than Lara but clearly not as explosive as Charlo. He's never had to be. He's very good at boxing.
When Andrade decided not to fight Charlo apparently due to his potential relationship with Roc Nation it almost literally ruined his career. He has compromised relationships with Showtime and by extension Al Haymon. He has a 3 fight deal with HBO now that hopefully will allow him to get in the ring with Jacobs or GGG.
At 154, all he represents is risk to every top fighter in the division. He was the WBA World Champion but Lara was the WBA Super Champion. All of the champions at 154 are Al Haymon fighters except Andrade. His name is not mentioned at all on Showtime before or after fights. He literally had to go to 160 for a shot because Haymon controls 147 and 154. Not sure if he will have enough pop to keep the top guys off him at 160.
