I missed the ABC pregame show where Rebel Without A Pause Sage Steele discussed the matter with Wilbon and Jalen Rose. I'll try and see if I can get the snippet on youtube when I get home from work tonight, but from the few seconds I saw, it appears Wilbon and Rose didn't agree with Sage Steele's point of view.

Did anyone catch how the pregame discussion of this went down.

Oh wow. Now I hope I'll be able to find a youtube link for sure when I get home; sounds momunmental to see Sage and Jalen agree. I only caught the very tail end of the segment unfortunately.

She said black people who use it are all hypocrites basically. He just said as he got older he stopped using it and no longer cusses either. He didn't really condemn anyone who does say it tho.

his job is to talk, and he can't trust himself to do that for a living if he still speaks in a manner that isn't fit for the type of stage he wants to be on.

I'm sure he's also called it an immature way of speaking several times but he often couches it in a desire to do his job well too.

but I did find a video of Sage Steele and Jalen Rose holding a discussion about the discussion together. I just started watching myself; it appears to last roughly 30 minutes. Here the link: https://www.facebook.com/SageSteeleESPN/videos/1593197434042832/

I was only describing the tail end of the segment I saw in the pregame for the Celtics/Bulls massacre. I only briefly saw Wilbon and Jalen agree that Iguodala shouldn't get punished for the postgame comments.

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/18886422/golden-state-warriors-coach-steve-kerr-not-offended-andre-iguodala-racial-remarks

SAN ANTONIO -- Golden State Warriors sixth man Andre Iguodala made some racially insensitive remarks after Friday night's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and many took them as being directed toward coach Steve Kerr.

"You guys just got Andre'd," Kerr said to a group of reporters prior to Saturday's 107-85 loss to the San Antonio Spurs. "You got Andre'd."

Kerr spoke about Iguodala's comments the day after the forward was asked if he knew that he, along with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, would be sitting out Saturday night.

"Nope, no clue," Iguodala replied. "I do what master say."

He later clarified his remark to ESPN, saying it was in no way a shot directed at Kerr and that it was only an inside locker room joke.

"Andre is one of those guys who likes to stir the pot and has a lot of cryptic messaging at times," Kerr said. " jokes around. I didn't take anything from it. It's just Andre being Andre."

Iguodala is known for making reporters feel uneasy with his racially insensitive candor. This just happened to be one of the first times he allowed a camera to film his act.

"Sure," Kerr said, when asked if he has heard Iguodala talk like that before. "Like I said, Andre is extremely intelligent. He sees a lot of the hypocrisy in the world. He expresses his displeasure in strange ways at times. So he said what he said. I don't think it meant a whole lot. I guess he has to answer that question, what he meant by that. I wasn't offended by anything he said personally, but he chose some words that were questionable and he's got to respond to that."

Iguodala also used the N-word repeatedly during his media address Friday. Fatigued by the condensed road schedule of the past two weeks, irked by the four losses in past six games, dealing with Kevin Durant's injury and the team's beef with the officiating Friday spilled over into postgame frustration.

"We gotta score more than the other team," Iguodala told reporters, after being asked what led to their second consecutive loss. "Yep, they want dumb n---as, so I'm going to give y'all a dumb n---a."

ESPN spoke to Iguodala briefly on Saturday, and he said he has no plans to address the media and doesn't feel clarity on his comments is necessary.

That's how we get posts about it.

Posting about how there are no posts about it without including actual information about the thing you want everyone to talk about instead of just talking about it is pointless.

First I'll say that I have no business speculating on whether or not Black people should find it offensive when other Black people use the n-word. I'm not Black, so it's not my business.

Beyond that, Iggy has been saying off the wall shit in post-game interviews for years. He even messes with Ros Gold Onwude, who works post-games for the Dubs, and who everyone actually likes. Kerr has repeatedly said he wasn't offended by the "Master" comments. I believe both of them when they say the whole thing was directed more at the media, rather than him saying anything negative about Kerr.

And the best interpretation of the whole incident is that he was tired after the game and annoyed that the team had just lost it's fourth game out of six. Someone asked him the type of dumb question that at least one reporter asks after a loss. So rather than giving a by-the-numbers answer, he just did his Iggy thing.
