The Bills are fools gold, but we'll have to wait longer to prove it since this is a horrible matchup for my Fins. Can we count the ways?
Miami can't defend the run at all, and all the Bills do is run. Miami can't protect Tannehill, and the Bills are 2nd in the NFL in sacks. Miami completely abandons the run when behind by even one score, which exacerbates this mismatch. Miami constantly trips over their own shoelaces, and the Bills are great at taking advantage of mistakes. Buffalo's game manager QB throws a better deep ball than Tannehill will ever dream of, which is extremely demoralizing to the team and its fans.
Hopefully my reverse jinx works and Miami stops doing these terrible things. I don't think a "repeat" of last week's performance vs the Steelers will even do it because the matchup is so much different -- I feel like that was a good matchup for them.
I think we will learn a lot about Gase this week since he should have a better idea of what his team is good at and what they're terrible at.
