Year in and year out I look forward to rooting against all of our teams not named Texas. But when they all actually lose, that shit feels hollow.
On the other side of that coin though, when Texas won it all in 2005, the Big 12 was terrible as well, and I couldn't give two shits.

judging by how bad this Seminole defense is playing, but it could just be Louisville being super elite.

defense was so bad. offense couldn't do ANYTHING on the ground or throwing.

Harry is awesome tho. i bet he leaves his sophomore year to the league but him and Manny have a good rapport that should cause problems when conference play starts. glad we came back to win but what a bad start.

but there are more than a few Pac-12 teams that have a lot of defensive issues right now

I just caught some highlights, fortunate to get out of there with a win and they have a nice 1-2 punch in Richard and Ballage

I'll bet a lot of programs, including Nebraska, feel foolish in just offering Ballage at linebacker when he wanted the chance at RB

Credit to ASU for seeing it.

i think their fault last night was not running the ball with Richard early... their best bet is to wear teams down with Richard and then bring in Ballage near the red zone to run by tired defenders... but they decided to have Ballage carry most of the balls early and it backfired. Ballage really fucked up a punt return and carelessly fumbled on non contact.

Manny is legit i like him. really accurate and careful with the ball. if the defense gets a little more experience they can be dangerous in the south, but thats a big wish.

or whatever they call it, certainly isn't Wildcat with Tucson as a rival

at some point just running Ballage out of it against good teams isn't going to work

I agree, Wilkins looks good when I have watched him

NDSU has been on a tear for quite some time now. Their win today was no fluke and I wasn't the least bit surprised just like seeing Richmond truck UVA last week. I wouldn't be shocked if JMU gives UNC a game today. Ive been trying to tell y'all for years, these top FCS teams can easily beat a large majority of FBS teams on a given Saturday.

who was the best player on the field

plus due to injuries, UO was starting 4 Frosh/RSFrosh on the OL

but a win is a win and glad to see Langsdorf go back to the run, what was working in the 2nd half

credit to TA and Westy's 4th down completion as well

Nick Gates is going to be a very good one and Ozigbo/Newby ran very hard this game

Tough for Wilbon on that fumble when he hasn't had much game action until today

I could tell it had the Huskers rattled, I think if they'd have just kicked field goals this game would've actually been more in Nebraska's favor. All week it seemed like folks in both states were picking Nebraska to win despite Oregon having the better pedigree and QB right now, but Armstrong showed heart and I think the rest of the team, offense and defense, showed their nerves when the Ducks kept getting close on 2Pt conversions after that first conversion.

I think it was a sound psychological strategy and obviously it's illogical to assume it'd have been 36-35 Ducks win if they'd have just kicked afterward. I'm not so sure they'd have gotten in the end zone so efficiently without that psychological edge.

head coaches have to be going crazy about the "drop it behind your back" move. at this point, anybody who does that in a game -- whether across the line or not -- should be running until they throw up on Monday.

one especially, I'm not sure if you remember the Oklahoma St/Texas game from last year, but they called 16 penalties on Texas, one where the ref ran into Charlie Strong on the sidelines and flagged him 15 yards. Basically gave the game to OSU, the Big 12 refs don't do Texas any favors, even against non-conference foes.

Good game, we should have stomped a mudhole in y'alls ass, but we didn't. Cal must have gotten Hansen on some reverse racism type shit because that kid is a fricking baller.

the Cal offense.

All those 5 star recruits on defense and you can't been stop Cals offense.

Charlie's in trouble.

If the Texas defense could have tackled Vic Enwere before he crosses the goal line the game is over with no controversy.

The PAC 12 officiating crew said he fumbled it hu the big 12 crew blew their whistle before a clear recovery was made and gave Cal the ball back.

We outplayed you and Texas and won.
