>>Did you miss the 'compared to what followed' part? > >nope, I didn't. > >At least Sark's excuse is that he was an alcoholic. What's >kiffin's excuse? LOL. > Sark was worse, that's all I'm saying.
I'm not a fan of either one, I should have known Sark was a drunk when he gave me his number at Hennesy's roof deck on a Saturday afternoon as an assistant back in '04/05. > >>And I have no problem with them scheduling that game. > >>They've never been embarrassed like that in my lifetime. >> >>And being so should be helpful to any Trojan alums for >telling >>you where they're at. > part of why I'm happy they scheduled that game...these old fools gotta learn on some "if you don't know, now you know" Biggie shit for any these old money dummies thinking you can win games off a name.
I've been acutely aware of this bullshit for four years now and am now beyond tired of it...this program isn't supposed to be the one I have to worry about or anticipate getting smoked when they play...I've got all my Philly pro teams for that.
>The've been at the same spot since Carrol left, which is my >point. Had Kiffin or Sark had to square off against bama in >week 1 they would've gotten their cranium's cracked just the >same. BC and Cuse are crap opponents....and shit, they did >drop the game at BC as 17 point favorites (and let BC run for >450 yards). I also remember them struggling with Syracuse at >Giants stadium as 30+ point favorites. > Dawg, it's college sports, if you travel 3000 miles, switch time zones and play major conference teams on the road in front of 80,000 people while being expected to win, it's a tough game.
There's a reason other West Coast teams rarely do it and vice versa really.
It made sense not to schedule a Bama while on sanctions playing with less than half as many scholarship players as Michigan a year or two ago.
As soon as they got off them, they went right back to it.
Right before they got on the sanctions, they played y'all.
And ND > >>Beat Arkansas like a drum when they were undefeated in >>conference with McFadden/Felix/Hillis & them. > >weren't ranked when SC played them. > >>VA Tech. > >Weren't ranked either. > don't care in either case, both are/were legitimately talented teams and preseason is guess work...each finished the season in the Top 10 and USC beat them at home.
>>Beat Ohio State in Columbus with a true freshman QB like six >>years after that destruction of Auburn. > >Totally forgot about this one because I'm an idiot. > >But we're getting off topic (my fault for not explaining >properly) so let me amend my point. > >Since the Carrol era they've played no OOC teams of any >consequence either in regular season or in bowl games. um, they haven't been able to play in a bowl for half of those seasons and the other ones still recovering from the scholarship penalties in addition to the shitty AD & coaches.
Their best year since, they finished the season beating Oregon and then couldn't play in the postseason.
>an annual rivalry so I'm not counting that. what other team in a real conference even has an annual rivalry against a team of that caliber?
don't worry, I'll wait.
The furthest SC >has traveled for a bowl game was to El Paso where they >embarrassed themselves on and off the field and on social >media. SC faced two mediocre big 10 teams in their own >backyard and were pushed around in both games...lost to Wisky >and barely escaped a coach-less Nebraska team. > >My point wasn't to knock SC's scheduling aggressiveness...I >really don't care about that. Simply trying to say that SC's >level of play hasn't really sunken to any type of new low >under Helton. They're the same soft, gutless, overhyped and >overly entitled diva's who pout and lay down when shit doesn't >go there way. They're not nearly as talented as people make >them out to be (did you hear Chris Fowler during the bama game >state that SC was one of the only teams who could match bama's >talent level?). Yet, I expect them to compete within the >conference just the same as they have in the post-carrol era. > > >> >>Because Key knows the Trojans are on some bullshit right >now. > >yes, exactly. > > >>Nah, both lost some good kids particularly to Oregon but >>elsewhere, particularly when they didn't have the >scholarships >>to give. > >I know they lost D'anthony which kind've made sense given how >well he fit into Oregon's offense at the time. I think there >was also an issue of him needing to get out of LA. I don't >recall any other pattern of big losses. > shit, Sark even lost guys to UCLA even, it's been bad for a minute.
But yes, in the Carroll guy they got the guys they wanted and typically the guys that burned them were guys they spurned (Maurice Jones-Drew, Antoine Cason, Casey Matthews to name a few).
>I can only say that as an OSU fan...going into LA and grabbing >the nation's best offensive guard and slot WR is pretty much >unprecedented. because OSU is at an unprecedented level of consistently good under one of the best coaches in the game and USC is coming off sanctions and at their most unprecedented bad point (even in the Hackett era they had more talent then they currently do including a great QB) while currently paying three bad coaches.
we're both fairly clear about both those issues...I wouldn't be happy about going to SC right now because of that, as soon as that's remedied, it's back to business.
And those two guys weren't even considering SC. >One of the nations best defensive backs, Darnay Holmes, out of >Calabasas isn't considering SC either. I think nebraska is the >favorite to land him. To me this type of shit is really >ominous...or at the very least that Helton is a shit >recruiter. > Or Nebraska is currently backing the Brinks truck up in a desperate attempt to be relevant again for the first time this century but anyway...
Helton isn't a head coach, he should never have been here.
Shit, Sark shouldn't have even been here, that's why it's like dying slow watching all of it.
I've been fighting the Fight On party-liners online for four years now online about this. >
