Northwestern QB fumbled at the goal-line late in the game, but crazy overtook a Western Michigan player -- the ball was bouncing out of bounds and he *threw it back in play* like a live basketball. Northwestern fell on it in the end-zone but they ruled the WMU defender was out of bounds when he went insane.

Don't think this year's USC team is anything great but it's still a team of 5 star recruits and should be able to cruise to 8-9 wins minimum... and Bama looks completely out of their league.

Especially the way Bama is whupping them at the LOS goddamn.

against the PAC 12 north. SC could lose to UW, Stanford, and Oregon. Plus SC is good for a loss in the south to someone.

I know that Bama defense is great and makes a lot of QB look bad but I don't think SC has an impact QB.

I could see them upsetting one or two of Stanford/USC/UW just off their talent but being mostly up and down all year.

But Bama is just completely making them look like amateurs right now, you wouldn't think these teams finished within 10 spots on the recruiting rankings watching this.

They could have additional losses to ND, Stanford, UW, Utah, and one other unexpected loss to another PAC 12 team.

So they have one loss after today and while I hope SC upsets Stanford I can also see SC being upset by some other PAC 12 team that they have no right losing to, hopefully that unexpected loss comes from Cal! Hey, I can hope!

and the reason why this bum ass squad was only a 10 point dog to bama which was an embarrassingly terrible line. put a different name on those jerseys and the line would've been 17 points.

this program hasn't put out a legit squad since the carrol era. their last major bowl game was the 2008 rose bowl. theyre not recruiting anywhere near an elite level. and certainly not at the LOS. even their flashy skill players bust in the NFL.

Austin hasn't seemed that loud in awhile, especially considering its rep as the wine and cheese crowd. entertaining as hell and glad to see Strong have a great week; hope he can build on it.

but he seems to be genuinely interested in building houston up into a national program. he's been there a grand total of 1 year and already has them as a legit playoff contender.

i think he's cool with staying there indefinitely until something great opens up. which it will, eventually.

again, he's been a HC for all of 1 year and is the hottest young coach in the game...the idea that he's sitting there stewing over whats going on in Austin just doesn't seem all that realistic to me. Just my opinion.

The "powers that be" wanted him in Austin so much this past season. I'd rather he not be there. I like what Charlie Strong is and represents for college football, particularly in Austin.
