Cavs win: We winning #7.
Cavs lose: Fuck Donkeylips 4 Life. Y'all gonna hear from me the way we gotta hear about LeBron 24/7.

Regardless of outcome:
Cavs coming back for that ass in 2017. 60+ wins, Kyrie coming for that crown.

Maaaan, closing out is a decision involving a desire and effort. You see the difference when cats really want to do it and when they don't. Right now, GS ain't really doing it. They keep getting caught in that 'kinda not guarding shit' middle area.

Compelling. Cleveland applying the pressure to GS on some old 'close me out or I'm staying open' shit is a beautiful thing to see for my old basketball eyes.

pulling up for the running 3 was unnecessary in that last possession.

If we lose, there's always game 7. As the C's found out, you never know what can happen when it comes to things like injuries...Bogut in game 5, Iggy with a flare-up of his low back...some variables you cannot account for and its your own fault for being lackadaisical compared to the opponents level of energy.

Unlike last year, W's have really been playing up or down to the series game count.

Can see him thinking out there rather than playing, confidence shot after game 5. Not the type of player you want at all as your #1 or 2 or 3.

Poor shot by Steph from 40 feet, Steph with a stupid foul leading to 2 Kyrie ft's, Klay and Steph both missing good looks, Lebron attacking in transition, Lebron setting up Dahntay for an and-1, and then some excellent boxing out by Dahntay for 2 more ft's.

Yep...easy shots all over. And it is sustainable. Them dubs need a barrage of threes or it's gonna be a helluva showdown Sunday. I'm just shocked that they can't buy a bucket even when they get a straight up good shot.

GS's obvious strength is their commitment to team execution...the role players coming up with zero has completely negated that strength. Cleveland is good enough to beat an iso dominant GS team.

I keep thinking it is an energy thing. Cleveland is putting dudes to work on defense when Kyrie and Bron are on the floor at the same time.

And they obviously aren't feeling it as a team to lay it on thick with the transition treys. And rolling up to the hoop on a bigger team and hoping to get a call with these inconsistent ass refs? Maaaaan...

This is volume 3 of salts this series alone from what I'm seeing. He even had Kyrie on some war machine to his ironman shit. Dude is sticking jumpers, TAKING TO THE DAMN RACK, and doing it on defense. It's beautiful.

Meanwhile, Curry needs to come the hell on.

Unfortunate but true. It's the innanet. And it's a whole series to wrap a mind around. Too much gets lost as the years pass.

For my money, Lebron should be through trying to prove anything. He's clearly the MVP of the league. Any team he's on is an automatic contender. And when it's elimination time, he has a gang of supreme performances that can fill up hella video packages. I know this era is about hating cats for their darkest days and soundbytes, but dude has done some hellafied shining if you wanna see it.

I can't imagine a beloved dude coming through with these last two games in a different era? Shiiiiid. Imagine if cheese eyes came through like this in 99...win or lose...imagine the fellatio and the respek that would be on his name. Jorn would should 4 for wtf for a whole game and then make 3 shots at the end and folks would lose their mind.

In response to Reply # 202

Cavs side:

Can the underdog Cavs pull off the upset?

The east is clearly weak and the Cavs won by default according to the haters so there's no way they can pull off the miracle upset.

Dubs side:

Can the Dubs overcome injuries to Bogut and Iggy in order to crush the Cavs?

The Dubs have injured players but face the Cavs in Oakland. The Warriors are the favorites to win game 7 according to odds makers.

Non agenda narrative:

Delly's tenacious feisty attacks vs Draymond's bully mentality calling people fuckboys is the narrative heading into game 7.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Seemingly everyone but the ref knows exactly what Lebron is trying to do there...intentionally fall down and bait a call to get Steph fouled out. People wonder why players flop all the time, the refs rely so much on reactions instead of what they actually see or didn't see.

This is one of the things he lacks. Memories etched in the minds of NBA fans against great competition.

That 4th quarter against the Pistons, game 6 vs the Celtics and this. He had a game that was a cut below against the Spurs but that was it. This is what you could argue magic, bird and others have over him despite his numbers.

And it'd be for FUCKING CLEVELAND.

It'd be an all-timer. No two ways about it. It'd be one of those ones people talk about forever.

I don't think it'll happen. But the drama would be unreal if the game somehow comes down to the wire.

Maybe it is recency bias, but just the idea of Cleveland continuing to shoot 50% as a team while GS is 1 of 5 from three seems like all-time crazy stuff. It was 3-1. Since then, Dray, Klay, Chef have suffered long periods of Quillery. Barnes has costed himself hella dough. And Iggy is now clearly hurt Ina way that'll likely impact his effectiveness I game 7. Add in the loss of Bogut and I'm legit concerned that GS could show up and not be able to 'turn it on' and just do what tend to do in these situations the last couple years.

And there's no way Cleveland doesn't empty the tank in Oakland.

It was not the difference last night, but there's too much muthafuckin reffing going on in these games. Out of bounds and obvious play-altering hacks are the only shit they should be calling Sunday. But hey...Chef needs to do his part/make an adjustment and cut it out with the NBA2k steal button spamming so that he's not in a position where he needs the refs to 'ignore' him cuz of 'you can't foul me out because I'm me'. It's like the refs get offended when you play a dude with a bunch of fouls and that dude is still reaching in.

Obviously the first was huge but every time the W's made a run, the Cavs and specifically Lebron got aggressive to snuff it out.

What a game by Bron, hats off to him. The numbers are even better than last year bc of how efficiently he's doing it.

Onto game 7.

GS really had their asses handed to them. I am surprised they ever got it to single digits. Still hope GSW pulls it out so i can collect. I have to try and move my flight up into SFO on Sunday now so i do not miss the entire game. Got an eighth of Black Mamba waiting on me from my boy that is paid for if the Dubs pull it out. Lot of heart from Clevelan, congrats Doc win or lose you should be proud.

at least these motherfuckers don't get to brag about hoisting the trophy in Cleveland anymore. FOH.

Rumors of LeBron James's demise were greatly exaggerated.

One game away from a title.

Cavs gotta go in knowing that they won't get the calls they got today.

good enough to get LeBron to come back (jabronis were hoping the Cavs fell for the Derrick Williams bait)

good enough to be LeBron's "help"

all them "Snoop Hoggy Hogg" jokes go up in flames as he ONCE AGAIN held his own against the UNANIMOUS LEAGUE MVP

and the best part is... after this? Kyrie is gonna go Full Kobe on the NBA regardless

next season he gets his All-Star appearance back, and gets All-NBA honors.

Eventually he will be something "not LeBron" to be remembered with the Cavaliers among casual fans

basically all the schadenfreude from 2015 about to get flambe'd

and Kerr sounded entitled as fuck. It's one thing to think the fouls were questionable on their own merit, but he shouldn't have brought up that Steph is the MVP of the league. Making it sound as if he's owed the right to get the rule bent in his favor. And even worse, he said he thought it was right for Steph the throw away is mouthpiece in the fashion he did. I dunno if he campaigning in the post game will get the refs to loosen the officiating in Steph's favor or not.

It will be interesting to see how the officials call game seven though.

the most "hilarious" aspect of the officiating was that Steph got called for that last foul off Lebron's flop AND Lebron actually elbowed Steph in the back on top of it.

For starters, refs don't see everything its possible. If you bring something to a refs attn, they will pay closer attention to it.

If a coach is complaining about the treatment of one player chances are they were involved in controversial or 50-50 foul plays. The refs would be reviewing those plays anyway whether or not the coaches complain or not. Secondly the head of officiating will be bringing certain things to the refs attention as well. Its probably extremely rare that a coach is bringing new information to the refs in the postgame press conference when they are lobbying like that. Its something the refs are going to look at it anyway.

So that certainly gives the impression that the coaches lobbying works.

In the rarest of incidents when a coach's lobbying creates extra attn , that also brings stuff to the league and refs attention as well and they'll pay more attention going forward. Also if you know you made bad calls against Steph in game 6 you are more likely to give him the benefit of the doubt going forward. Next time he rips Kyrie at half court and its a 50-50 foul call, you may be more inclined to let it slide.

"Well, that had nothing to do with the outcome. The outcome was decided. But he had every right to be upset.

He’s the MVP of the league. He gets six fouls called on him, three of them were absolutely ridiculous. He steals the ball from Kyrie clean at one point. LeBron flops on the last one.

Jason Phillips falls for that, for a flop. As the MVP of the league, we’re talking about these touch fouls in the NBA Finals.
Let me be clear, we did not lose because of the officiating. They totally outplayed us and Cleveland deserved to win.

But those three of the six fouls were incredibly inappropriate calls for anybody, much less the MVP of the league."

All of this "MVP Of The League" shit just took it from "defending your guy" to "defending your guy because he's supposed to be protected by the refs" ... man FUCK YOU.

Steph reached in 2x on that last foul that got him ejected.

And the refs were not calling the first reach ins all night. Twice Steph kept going in for a 2nd helping and that's when he got whistled.

Get the fuck outta here, Steve

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

I gotta say that while Cen's rap was genius and that's the way we been funnin around here for years...there was a slight element of actual "laughing at you in real life" that was imparted in that post even before someone dug up what Vex said about "being at the tables" or whatever. Amritsar twice alluded to Vex saying he'd met Lebron several times on some "you beleive this guy" type steez. I'm not gonna try to speak for OE, but I wonder if THAT could be what he was getting at with the "brought real life into it" thing. Cuz that certainly wasn't what Cen was doing with his rap.

editing non-stop and trying to justify. You're trying to make it personal again when it's really not that deep and comes down to this: you and many on the boards dislike Lebron James - and I'm a fan.

All this other jokey joke personal letter raps and bringing real life into the equation (which y'all did) is extra-curricular as hell - but keep backtracking and posturing.

Once you bring that into the public domain, it remains public domain. It can and likely will be referenced at some point...you can't have it both ways eg putting the info out there and then getting touchy when someone else brings it up.

OE is the one who delved into the private domain when he went into the "Vex pulls so and so" stuff.

In the end, if you don't want personal shit brought up, then don't mention it in the first place.

Maybe I'm an insensitive prick (youngest of 3 brothers and youngest of my generation so had to develop very thick skin lol) but none of it seemed to actually be serious. The seeing/meeting Lebron stuff is something you yourself stated on the boards so that's open for reference...if it was someone who was using things based on solely personal experiences, then that would be a different story (the only one who actually did that was OE but oddly, you're not perturbed with him).

i don't get that at all.

Steph had a solid game. Barbosa too (should he be playing more?). That's about it for the Dubs. Klay had a spark in the 2nd half but he and Barnes in the first? ooof.

no conspiracy, but the refs shat all over Steph. Kerr gonna get fined 50-100K but he was smart to call them out, especially that Steph don't get the kind of MVP calls Bron gets. also, it's good Steph showed the frustration cuz, weirdly enough, refs actually seem to respond to that stuff next game. like, i don't know if you earn their respect or what. it's weird.

is Bogut out for game 7 too? i think Iggy is "fine." is Kryie "fine?" he definitely slowed down when his foot got jammed or whatever.

Dubs fans better show up big time cuz they need it. i kind of expected Dray to be milk carton today cuz you lose that rhythm of playing. he should be better next game.

gonna be some tight buttholes come Sunday (pause).

>can't wait!

I love solid finals basketball. Every possession seems like such a big deal. The 'intensity' if you will...I'm not one of those 'I hate it cuz the games aren't close'. I'm at the house on hollering 'shoot the j...shoot it'' and 'you gotta make that' and 'you can't give that away', 'ohh, so Kyrie is forreal', 'damn dray, quit pump-faking and bullshittin', and 'damn, Lebron is at the rack again!?' on every other play.

And getting a game 7 after the way this series started? Shiiiiid. And again, it's gonna be unfortunate when this series gets boiled down to whatever happens in Oakland Sunday because it has been so much more than that. Even if GS shows up and all of the shots start falling and Cleveland can't keep up with them, this has been one helluva series. And agendageddon is gonna be so crazy if Cleveland wins. I can't imagine how mad the mad will be.

No matter what, I expect to be told again how unimpeachably great Jorn is as a part of someone's agenda to hate this or that guy. Whoooooo!

Well done Mr. Silver.

Nah, Bron the best when he want to be and right now, he want to be.

I said after bogut injury that GS needed someone to step up out of their reserve bigs and Barnes. Not only didn't they get that, but they lost Iggy as well. Not completely surprising they lost considering that and that Bron had a gaaaame.

I'd go with Varajeo to start in game 7 and the quickest of hooks for barnes if necessary. Plus, GS haaaaaaas to stop switching Curry involved pnr. It just puts him in terrible situations and he keeps committing foolish foouls. If they don't fix this after 6 games, eff em...

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Varejou isn't the answer tho...

what they need is Barbosa playing 30 minutes and Livingston having the game of his life.

Cavs eating in the paint too, nothing can be done about that. Klay and Curry have to be lights out or its a wrap.

Also think JR Smith is going to win or lose this game. He has to show up early.

in the interior either by blocking, altering shots or flopping. Anytime Bron get inside its easy buckets...if bron is intent on driving, you need a big inside to at least alter his shot. Draymond coming over late can't do it.

I made a post TOTALLY SEPERATE from anything else in the sports board
no porn
no music linked
no cursing
it's a LEGITIMATE inquiry (player throwing object in stands and beaning fan)

but my post gets deleted?

it wasn't a "game" post
it was a THIS PLAYER SHOULD BE SUSPENDED post

then, I don't get to see WHICH mod is the ones whose feelings got hurt enough to delete the post

that post had nothing to do with hurting the NBC, Roots, or Fallon brands

i swear for folks to claim to be "on the right side of history" so much
they sure do get this "1st amendment" things oh so wrong
yes, it is THEIR site
and it is a PRIVILEGE to post here
but if only thing you want is for us to have your nuts on our chins, then say that clearly and from the jump and some will be on board.

for the first two regular season games of NEXT season.

Not game 7.

Whole thing is hilarious because his wifey tweets about fining refs

aka...taking bread out their pocket

And next game Steph is saddled with 2 early fouls and eventually fouls out when the game is outta reach.

You do the math.

She should be muzzled for the playoffs like Bron does his circle during this time.

Live and learn.

NBA will let them play in game 7 though. The two biggest stars in the league are playing for it all. Wouldn't surprise me if the Cavs pull it out and G-State fans cop the same plea Cavs fans did last year (suspensions and injuries...asterisk).

As a bulls fan, I'd laugh at G-state breaking the wins record and failing after a 3-1 lead. If they win, they did what they were supposed to do. Wonderful season, best collective team ever.

Bron...maaaaaaaaan, a W here and it erases at least 2 finals L's. Last year and the first to the Spurs. And to me, that'd put him firmly tied for #2 all time. He'd need one more to pass Kareem for me. Two to tie Jordan. 3 to pass him.

Would be an incredible feat to take the Cavs from lotto to champs in 2 yrs (coulda been looking at back to back titles if not for last years injuries) and to do it in this fashion against a 73-9 team...wooo!

Game 7 is gonna be basketball heaven for legacies, agendas, media outlets but most of all...basketball fans.

Some cross-league stats (*since 1984, first year Game Score is reported on BBRef):
The first and third best Game Scores ever recorded in the NBA finals
The best finals Game Score at home
The best finals Game Score on the road (Kyrie's Game 5 was 5th all time)
The only time a player has ever had more than one game with a Game Score above 36 in a single NBA finals.

Only the fourth time a player has ever had two games with a Game Score above 39 in a single playoff series (Kevin Johnson semis 1995, MJ semis 1989, Barkley WCF 1993)
