>Coming off the first playoff appearance in 22 years, and one >of the most prolific offensive outputs in MLB history, and not >to mention one of the most insane trade deadline >multiacquisitions ever, the boys of summer are back. > >Who's your leadoff? (I like Martin if he's up for it til >Travis comes back)
Sounds like it is Pillar, but I'm willing to roll with your Martin idea, just not Thole....lol > >Do EE or Bautista get resigned? (maybe EE gets done. Jose will >look great in pinstripes UGHH)
I think one does, not both. Both will be DH/1B types in the future and I believe the failed Bruce trade was insurance for this. > >Can Josh Donaldson sustain the insanity of his 2015?
Yes, Colabello? Not so sure > >Does Stroman live up to the ACE label for ~200 innings? (I >like to think so)
I think he needs more time > >Does Saunders win LF and get his swing back? (3 homers in 5 >plate appearances in Spring so far can't hurt)
Yep, by default because Pompey isn't ready > >Do we like a Smoak/CC platoon at 1st?
Yes, Smoak for defense > >Does Tulo's new leg-kick and hopefully healthy body sustain >him over 162 (I think this will be a HUGE year for Tulo)
No, I will be happy with 120. I know what we signed up for with Tulo > >What of Sanchez (starter?), Storen and Osuna (closer/set-up)
Sanchez has to cut down on his walks and be comfortable adding a changeup. We have a ton of 6-inning pitchers, the bullpen is going to have to be kept fresh. It is improved over last year though. No Jeff Francis, no Colt Hynes, no Todd Redmond. > >What do we make of the rest of the starting 5?
6 inning pitchers, R.A.'s effectiveness will be worth watching > >But most importantly how loud will idiots boo David Price?
Red Sox have gotten a lot of attention for a team that finished last.
