"Tracy McGrady's years in Toronto"
I remember when he was drafted, but don't remember much about his Toronto year aside from some highlights and his dunk contest with Vince.
What kind of potential did he show back then? Did folks think he was going to become a future legend/superstar like Kobe, or was the hype limited? I know Kobe's main issues in his first 2-3 years was the showing off, the airballs, and lack of defense (I used to always hear this complaint back then), but we all saw the flashes of brilliance. What were the issues/criticisms of T-Mac in his first three years?
He was never given the ball like six-man Harden was though. You never saw the offence focus on him. He was used more for his defence the first couple of years.
McGrady smoked alot of weed in Toronto. lol. I think that's something he took care of the summer before playing in Orlando.

He didn't play a ton of minutes b/c of Doug Christie/Vince. In his first two season, he basically played the same amount of minutes as Kobe who was playing behind Eddie Jones.
When he became a free agent, the Raptors decided to draft Mo Pete & build around Vince instead of paying him max money.
The other players used to say that in practise he showed the potential to be an all-star. He was a little nervous on the court. And weed was definitely a factor.
