Fairness aside: as long as he gets another shot, Pep is being done a favor to be separated from Chuck, current-status Luck, and the Colts organization, which is semi-secretly pretty bad. The GM is fo sho a dead man walking. If he doesn't get another shot, then *insert race stuff here*.
I'm not extremely receptive to the comeback about that SB run 10 years ago where FOUR teams basically donated games to Papa Peyton and got him his narrative-changing ring. And you know...the AFC South is at least slightly more terrible than the AFC East that Thomas and Bill have been killing for more than a decade.

I'm not sure why this is being overlooked.
Also, I love how people are quick to point to injury with Luck. I think dude is talented but to blame bad rips for poor decision making doesn't make any sense. Plus, you cannot tell me his ribs are as bad as Cam's were last season.

Matt had time to study the playbook and perform. As a pro bowl vet with Super Bowl experience, Matt is less apt to force throws into double coverage taking unnecessary risks. Plus, Andrew's shoulder is injured and he's hurting.

Im on record as far as my strong admiration for David Shaw. But he worked for Harbaugh for longer than he has been a head coach up till now, and they are still running Harbaugh's system.

Shaw's success influenced Harbaugh, if anything.
Stanford has had one of the most diverse offenses in football in the Shaw era. It's not even a debate.
Shaw added athletes and put people into space in a way Harbaugh did not. It's not a gimmick anymore. They can compete in any situation.
This is exactly HOW Pep got his job in the NFL. He's a revolutionary offensive mind, which is how he built Andrew Luck into the most dominant early career QB in league history.

Which takes NOTHING away from David Shaw. Andy Reid left Green Bay for the Eagles and ran the same run-screen-run-screen-throw deep offense Holmgren presumably taught him. That hardly reflects poorly on Andy!
