"Luck or Cam - who you want right today?"

I think it's fair to say both of their GMs have failed them. I would say more so in Cam's case.

Think carefully. Also keep in mind, they're both 26.

Carolina's GM told (from a source from an ain't shit podcast) Cam it would be a long shot if they extended him.

Cam is easily the better choice because he wins with less. Panthers got rid of his best targets last year in order to try to get him to take a pay cut and that backfired. They were going to fire Ron Rivera at one point. Look at Cam's weapons compared to Andrew's. Every year Andrew gets help yet cannot put it together. Andrew came in the league throwing to a hall of fame wide receiver along with his collegiate tight end. Don't even get me started on Indy's defense. They made it to the AFCG last year so shush with talk of Colt's defense sucks.

Cam seems more sustainable as he is not as reckless as Andrew.

Carolina GM has done a great job. People fail to realize that Cam has developed as a passer by spreading the ball around. This is the only qb that makes Ted Gin Jr looks legit.

Cam broke records during his first year. Matter of fact, can we revisit his first season or do you want to wait to talk your shit? Cam went to work with a lunch pale on some old school construction worker steez after being made fun of nationally for his brand comment.

I'm partial to the Ted Ginn connection as we from the same hood.

Gettleman. I think his rookie success was largely because the NFL did not know how to deal with a dual threat qb and the offensive Chud ran. Don't for get his first two seasons the Panthers did not have a winning record

Tough one. Both are talented but flawed young players on even more flawed teams.

Cam is the better athlete but Luck is obviously a size+speed phenom himself.

Luck is more accurate but throws more idiotic picks.

Cam is a more dynamic runner who is more careful with the football in all phases, but his accuracy is all over the map, in game, game-to-game.

Both have been successful and made the postseason, but neither plays in a good division.

I guess it's just a question of taste, so I might pick Luck since I like an accurate passer.

I'd rather have Russ than either tho.

Last year was the first year that the NFCS wasn't good. Don't forget that division has been highly competitive and good for years with Brees, Ryan and Freeman....yes once upon a time Freeman was good. The AFCS has sucked for years.

Teams in that division take turns being good but rarely are there 3 teams playing well at once.

We are talking like 2.4 vs 2.7 but still, I don't get the "turnover machine" part. Luck's team has thrown it more over the course of their respective careers.

Luck is actually an athletic freak but he is never looked at as such. I wonder if he didn't replace Peyton if he'd still be considered "cerebral?" To me he is more Favre than he is Peyton.

because the Colts just played the best 2 defenses they will play all year

both do still make similar bonehead int's in close games because both try to do too much

both are going to be crippled by age 35 if they don't get GM's who try to protect them

both probably gonna win their divisions by default

he walked into a fucked up situation...

Team was 20 mil over the cap when he took over...the panthers have won the division every year since he been there...

Gettleman fixed the offensive line...it's the best offensive line Cam has ever had...

Yes...currently we are starting Philly Brown and Ted Ginn Jr at WR...but you can't bank on losing your best WR for the season...injuries happen in this league...and historically we've been a run first team...

And our defense is one of the best in the NFL...

The biggest issue during the Gettleman era is the offensive coordinator...once he's gone, our offense will improve...even with the guys we have...

I do think for a quarterback of Cam's caliber, to have skill position players that inferior is inexcusable. Guys like Kirk Cousins and Andy Dalton have far better weapons than Cam Newton, what gives?

a) ppl are downgrading Luck
b) upgrading Cam
c) (over)reacting after seeing Luck look like ass in another national televised game

i said Cam (and Russ (and Kap and RG3 #L)) from the gate
but was in the minority
chuck pagano basically forced the media to hold Luck accountable with his comments
and even then there was a debate over whether Luck was thrown under the bus or not

he was just inconsistent and playing in a pretty shitty offense. i think as far as long-term potential, these guys were always very much considered peers.

But people straight shitted on Cam after that loss to the Giants on Monday night in his second season when a no name receiver burnt the Panthers secondary. The media was talking about that game two years later. But Luck can put his team in a hole against a KC team that was depleted with injuries and receive praise for a comeback win. Or he can get smashed 45 to 7 by New England and not a negative thing is said about him. But when Cam was competitive against the Seahawks defense for 3 quarters in Seattle the media shitted on him for throwing the pick 6 to Kam Chancellor which ultimately won it for the Seahawks. I just want the media to be fair with there criticism.

The answer really is Russell Wilson though.

More accurate, more cerebral, lesser athlete but not by much and uses his athleticism more intelligently. They just have stronger arms and are bigger.

Not sure how Luck does, but he's still not as lame as Russell Wilson.
