Club futbol, or as Wayne Rooney likes to call it, the Sahara dessert, resumes this weekend. The top two teams meet as City travel to London though the opponent isn't Chelsea or Arsenal (or, lol, Spurs), as Palace find themselves runners-up right now, thanks to a wonderfully dynamic front line which has yet to fail to score in a game. City looms large though, with their methodical domination putting fear in many analysts and fans that this title race will be effectively over before Xmas. The Eagles have only managed 1 win out of their previous 9 confrontations, though it was the last time they played. Also tomorrow United and Liverpool play a game that will mostly remind many people how far away the golden days are. Coutinho is out for the Reds, which could give Firminho a chance to shine in his role. The early game is Everton v Chelsea, which I'm sure Mourinho would love to win 6-3 again, but the way his defense has been the final score is more likely to be reversed.
Chievo are somehow atop the Serie A table after 2 games, and interestingly they play Juve this weekend, who have yet to get a win of their own. Inter and Milan meet with the latter not seeing much impact from all its big-money signings so far.
