... so they got a 5x worse version of KJ McDaniels. McDaniels is Steve Kerr compared to Tokoto, and a *much* better defender. Honest UNC fans will tell you that Tokoto's defense is *vastly* overrated-- he bites on ball fakes and gets lost on ball screens *all the time.*
Tokoto is eventually Europe-bound. Can't imagine Philly would give him real PT unless they're aiming for the lottery again.

Regardless, Tokoto is everything bad about McDaniels, minus nearly all of the good about McDaniels. Unless he magically learns to shoot or learns defensive fundamentals, I can't imagine him sticking.

The answer is almost always "a terrible shot attempt at a costly moment."
Even in his best big game of the season by a lot (the Duke game in Cameron) ended with a clank, an awful shot in a key possession that sealed the win for Duke.
Without looking, I'm betting UNC's biggest games had from JP some combo of single digit scoring, sub-40% shooting, and 5+ turnovers. 2 out of 3 for most of them, 1 out of 3 for all of them. That'd be my guess. Some UNC fan can confirm for me.

it's funny too cuz all the media is hyping them saying they are DOING IT.
but all i see is a bunch of guys who a) may not live up to the hype b) can't really play together just based on their positions and skills
i mean, embiid may go the greg oden route w/ these injures and okafor could be a low-key bust. i mean, people before the draft were HYPE on okafor like he's a perennial all-star, but his ceiling might be Brook Lopez. that's still pretty good but not what he was thought he might be.

he's uber-athletic, dumb and can't shoot. Will have a great three quarters and a dumb 4th quarter. He's absolutely maddening to watch. JR Smith Jr. with a broke J. All that said...I love the kid. Hope he can develop enough to make a good living in the league.
