I'm guessing thats why he's pitching the way he is right now. Late change in camp to the mechanics wasnt smart but may be better in the long run. I know Rosenthal or Law had a problem with the new mechanics (short stride) because that could cause more stress on the elbow and an early tommy john surgery. *knocks on wood*
Navarro / Smoak / Edwin are good at DH where Smoak / Edwin will rotate at 1st. You will probably see Joey Bats and Reyes get time at DH for rest on the turf. Thats where Pillar, Pompey and Saunders will come into play. But for the days where its gonna either be Pillar or Saunders you just gotta consider splits and who is hot. But Pillar is playing great so far and so is Pompey. I always thought Pompey fit better in the 2nd spot with Russel 6th. It's really a great hitting line up.
Travis seems to be the real deal so far. I'm loving what this kid is doing.
With as many rookies as we have, we have to be prepared for some of them to struggle, and with it being so early and having only 1 guy struggle?!?!...thats amazing. If Sanchez doesnt work out I think Osuna deserves a shot. He's a better as a starter. Sanchez and Castro for the 8th and 9th would be amazing. Castro as a closer is best because it wont hurt him as a starter for next year.
Don't forget we have Hoffman who is pitching so well during rehab he may get to Toronto a lot earlier if the bullpen is a problem. Maybe even if he is needed as a starter. Johan too *crosses fingers*. *crosses fingers again* for Stroman to be used in the playoffs.

Are you ready to say this offense is better than the early 90's championship years? Even without Pat Borders....
If this team gets even solid, not spectacular starting pitching the rest of the way (trade?).....should be in the hunt in a wide open AL East with only Boston not in the mix right now

I agree. They have the opposite problem of the Cleveland Baseball Team.
Jays got ALL the bats
dammit, I wish we could have had this when Roy was still here
