We see the division they play in....

No shots at anyone in that division but a perennial super bowl team only has to win five games a year to make the playoffs.

What's his record against the vaunted G Men? What are his stats in Super Bowls against the Giants? Someone dig that up and post those stats.

Don't even get me started on the Pats historic strength of schedule. Put it like this: give any elite QB on a perennial super bowl contender that division and historic strength of schedule then watch them put up similar numbers over the same period of time.

I could see if he did this in the prime AFC North or the current NFC West over the same time.

For the record, I'm not hating but putting this in the proper perspective.

I have no idea where you pulled that 'you only have to win 5 games a year to make the playoffs' bullshit. No idea. Throughout most of Brady's career the Jets were pretty tough competition. The Dolphins were up and down and the Bills primarily have sucked. But if that's your criteria (playing in a tougher division) for evaluating all-time great QBs, then I guess we can eliminate Peyton Manning from the discussion too since he got to feast off of the Texans, Jaguars, and Titans throughout much of his career.

What a ridiculous argument. And that's just one asinine/unfair argument you made against Tom Brady.

Just do yourself a favor. Look at the # of wins he's compiled. Look at his career stats. Stack the 10 or so QBs often discussed at the goat next to Brady. How many QBs can you honestly say that Brady had better weapons than?

I don't even like Brady and I despise the Patriots, but c'mon.

Those early Matt Schaub Texans teams and MJD's prime in Jacksonville provide far better competition than the Bills, Jets, and Phins (no shots to all those teams). Therefore, Peyton gets a pass. Plus, he had a shitty first year in the league.

All of my points are valid. I was being generous for the sake of not hating on the Pats. In all honesty, I need to correct myself. They need to win four games out of their division to make the playoffs each year. They've had years where the NFL gave them the easiest schedule in the league. Let that sink in before you respond.....

It's not hard to win a shitload of games when your team is one of the dominant teams in the league during your prime. Brady's benefitted from rule changes designed to protect the QB in ways Hall of Famers were not privy to so that's not a fair assessment. Compare him to QBs in his class. I can't say Brady had better weapons than Peyton in Indy (Denver is an entirely different story) because those players were drafted to play on that team and stuck with him during his entire time there. To say Brady is better than Peyton because of Peyton's weapons means the Pats FUCKING SUCK (for the most part) at drafting offensive personnel during Tom Brady's reign. Tom Brady had better weapons than the Gunslinger.

Like I said, I'm not hating but someone must provide a proper perspective. I'm tired of all this Tom Brady nut hugging. I went in but not too far. I gotta leave some lining in the walls for later..

The argument is that they basically get a 5 game handicap against the rest of the league
Advantage? Get to rest key players in end of yr divisional games, get a bye week if you win enough non divisional games etc
Eagles had a similar advantage in the early 2000s

Belicheat, Brady, Kraft, Pats fans and everybody else want to sweep it under the rug and hope people forget about it and act like it didn't happen but it did.

ANY and ALL records that Brady has a achieved are forever TAINTED.
