May 16th 2014
27
Sterling was an ongoing distraction.
May 16th 2014
5
Yup, Sterling caused the cacophony of errors by CP3 in late game 5
May 16th 2014
6
May 16th 2014
7
he completely blew the end of Game 5 which swung the series.
May 16th 2014
8
That was the series...
May 16th 2014
16
Brutal end of series for him
May 16th 2014
9

118
Put on this Julius Hodge jersey right quick.
May 16th 2014
11
I don't think a healthy Rondo goes out like this
May 16th 2014
12
Rondo was responsible for the Gm 7 loss in 2010
May 16th 2014
14
On what planet? He should've gotten the defensive rebounds?
May 16th 2014
19
Phil clogged the paint & dared him to take jumpers
May 16th 2014
105
I have NEVER seen you post accurately. Ever.
May 17th 2014

May 16th 2014
61
           I think so ---> http://tinyurl.com/ntbpcff
May 16th 2014
64
when they won the chip, rondo put up 10 points a game like shelly said
May 16th 2014
65
So maybe Chris Paul should score 10 ppg.
May 16th 2014
69
yes cause that would make the clippers better.
May 16th 2014
70
I know what doesn't make them better 5 turnovers in the 4th quarter
May 16th 2014
74
and be the fourth option? yeah, i think he can do that
May 16th 2014
93

May 16th 2014
95
LOL, he's still trying to crowbar that weed-carrier chip in there
May 16th 2014

May 16th 2014
127
Nah but I accept ur apology, glad u can now admit he'll never be a HOFer
May 17th 2014
131
Nothing's changed. His career is still trending toward HOF.

Rondo responded by refusing to even look at the rim & kept passing the rock to Ray when he was running on fumes chasing Bean around on the other end. Their best advantage was Rondo against wack ass Fisher & Rondo failed miserably. We are talking about the same Fisher a plethora of point guards have feasted on consistently throughout his post-season career. Cp3 would have run circle around him esp. when he doesn't have to expand energy on the other end of the floor instead of being neutralized in Gm 7 by the great Derek Fisher.

Doc should have benched Rondo (for Nate) just like he did in Gm 4 of the 2008 historic comeback fueled by his back-up Eddie House.

WHAT'S GOOD *****? What's REALLY good?!?!????!!! Ha HA!

Let me correct it for you: "You have NEVER seen me make a point to support made-up agendas. Ever." If you are claiming Rondo wasn't playing tentative against Derek muphuckin' Fisher then I need you to go watch the ENTIRE 4th quarter on YT & get back at me. It's a known fact Phil was daring Rondo to beat them & Rondo never took the challenge instead he proceeded to pass the rock to Ray who EVERYONE knew wasn't close to 100% & was running on fumes plus was being checked by Kobe not slow ass Fisher. The reason why the Kings gave Phil trouble was because the pack the paint strategy that Phil relied upon didn't work against Bibby although it did work against Tony Parker in 2004 amongst many other.

WHAT'S GOOD *****? What's REALLY good?!?!????!!! Ha HA!

Dude went to the finals, conference finals after that putting up dominating numbers and people saw how he controlled games. Paul as good as he is, doesn't appear to control the game the way Rondo does. That's all I'm saying. That's the playoffs eye test. 9 years and 0 trips to the conf finals.

His legacy suffers greatly due to his lack of playoff success. IJS.

Top 5 Tony has the overall crown and it's pretty clear after scooting D. ILLard to the side

CP3 is one of the best PGs in the league, but his strongest supporters have always acted like it's an insult for anyone else to be in the convo, because advanced metrics omg.

but after watching him come up short AGAIN in the playoffs, and watching Russy outplay him AGAIN, CP3 is no better than a tri-king with Wessy and T5T. There's absolutely no way we can continue to hold this guy in a class by himself above other PGs.

there's absolutely no reason to keep thinking CP3 is on a different tier than other PGs. if he was the dude--if he was in the durant/lebron class--the clippers had more than enough to beat the thunder. they didn't, because he's not that dude.

plus, way to Cuban B Russy outplaying him this series.

As great as Durant is, the Clippers are a better team top to bottom

The team is MORE than Durant and Westbrook though. Just because Durant is the best player on both teams bar none doesn't mean they wouldn't need significant help from the other guys on the team. Outside of Ibaka, that team isn't nothing special

And Blake Griffin is LIGHT YEARS better than the rest of the Thunder. Jamal Crawford is BETTER than the rest of the Thunder
DeAndre Jordan is BETTER than every big on the Thunder
Reggie Jax and Darren Collison is a wash

You can't just say because Durant is on the team that makes the Thunder a better supporting cast. If that's the case, then they SHOULD make the Finals because Westbrook's supporting cast is better than San Antonio's...and Durant is LIGHT YEARS better than everyone on the team...is that the stance?

They have arguably the best 1-2 in the league and a near all star in ibaka. They will be a contender no matter what else you put around them...just like miami's big 3(assuming wade has a smidgen of health)

>And Blake Griffin is LIGHT YEARS better than the rest of the Thunder. Jamal Crawford is BETTER than the rest of the Thunder

Like i said 4-12 isnt that important. You ask anyone if they'd rather have the better 1-3 or 4-12 they gonna choose the 1-3. Are we really having this convo?

Yeah, they should...except now they are going against the best coach in the league who'd make this a series without his best players anyway lol. But just looking at the rosters, OKC has a better team without question.

So having Durant makes them THAT much better than the Clippers, who ALSO have 2 all-stars? And from 3-12 are BETTER?

If you have a dominant 1-3 and no supporting cast, you're bound to lose. Even Miami needed someone to have as a #4 (Ray Allen). Boston had their #4 with Rondo

To say that all you need is a Big 3 and that's it is just false. And CP3's big 3 should be enough to beat Westbrook and Durant. They had 2 games in the bag and choked

>

If there's a doubt that OKC should win because they're going up against the best coach in the league, is Doc Rivers arguably the 2nd best coach in the league? Isn't he not LIGHT YEARS better coach than Brooks? So OKC should win this series based on your above logic, that Durant/Westbrook/Ibaka is LIGHT YEARS better than Parker/Manu/Duncan...regardless of the coach (they beat Doc Rivers)

That would be a circus beyond circuses. Griffin and Jordan would look like buffoons on offense. Not trying to slam them, but at this point in their careers, they need someone like CP3 that will facilitate them on offense.

That was like 20 games. He's good and getting better all the time, but he's not carrying a team at this point. It's still Chris Paul's offense.

Should be able to get rid of that baby fat by 30 Y.O.

Russy ran circles around him in game 5

CP3 looked like he was running on fumes

and IMO, he gave up

I don't think he has the fitness to get past the 2nd round

he needs to get on that Bron workout plan.

As nice as he is now, imagine if he actually dropped the fat & got fit

I laugh when I see him consistently listed at 180lbs, he hasn't been that since Wake Forest.

the worst performance of his career in game 5

not being able to get a W in game 6 with Ibaka out

seed? okay

but when you look at the games

there should at least be a game 7

matched up against another top 5 PG

Russy looked better IMO

I like D-West, dude is an overachiever & a very good player but he NEVER even made a single All-NBA team (1st, 2nd or 3rd) let alone being an MVP candidate like Blake. He was pick-n-pop player w/ a decent post-up game & was never a great defensive player, rebounder nor playmaker.....he was basically a smaller/less athletic version of LaMarcus Aldridge during his day w/ NOLA. Meanwhile Blake is an MVP candidate on the trajectory to becoming the next Karl Malone.

WHAT'S GOOD *****? What's REALLY good?!?!????!!! Ha HA!

It shouldn't be a huge surprise that the Clippers as a team lost cause the Thunder are really good and the team as a whole won't probably won't feel too much heat (other than maybe Blake for getting neutralized by longer defenders again and when the game slowed down). CP3's numbers looked fine on the whole but what I'll remember from this series is that when his team needed him most in Game 5 and 6, CP3 had a bunch of crucial turnovers, couldn't slow down Westbrook a lick, or at least turn him over a few times, and didn't have that same energy that he usually brings. I mean he's still really good but it's hard to say he's leaps and bounds above the Parker's and Westbrook's of the world.

He often looks like he wears down over the course of a series. He might need to take off 20 lbs. That's why I was saying I'd take a healthy Rondo in the playoffs over Paul.

a level above everybody else but playing against guys that are bigger/stronger and/or quicker and more athletic give him trouble and they eventually wear him down over the course of a series.

I mean clearly, a PF that was 3rd in MVP voting, a center that was 3rd in DPOY voting, one of the top 3pt shooters in the league at SG to spread the floor, plus 6th man of the year coming off them bench is really not enough.

Chris Paul plays about the same in the playoffs as in the regular season. Rondo appears to raise his game to a higher level in the playoffs. He just appears to play meaner and hungrier than Paul to me when it's all on the line.

The turnovers, the foul on Russy's 3. He missed some key shots he normally makes, too. Series turning point.

This loss is much worse than the 2006 series against the Suns.

So if the Clips do lose game 7, what's Chris Paul's legacy?

Because he's playing on a team that should and was/is in position to.

Early career - played with bums and suspect coaching, best teammate was David West
Start w/Clips - no bench, suspect coaching, main support were immature
Now - not much. The bench still isn't good, but it should be good enough.

>So if the Clips do lose game 7, what's Chris Paul's legacy?
