Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin has added his voice to calls for the NBA and other professional sports leagues to investigate allowing players to use medical marijuana as a means to manage pain.
"It doesn't really affect me, but so many guys would probably benefit from it and not take as many painkillers, which have worse long-term effects," Griffin said in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. "So I would vote yes. I just think it makes sense."
Griffin's comments followed remarks by Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll in January that the NFL should look into medicinal marijuana as a means of taking the best possible care of its players.

imagine it's affects ppl differently but i can exercise hard at 2am in the morning if i smoke before hand guess it depends on what's currently on the banned list, cause u could argue stuff like creatine provides the same benefits

for something as actively intense/high motor like basketball, football, or boxing - I don't think anyone could creditably claim it's a performance enhancer...
but because of its psychoactive effects, I think it could be argued that it could enhance performance for more laid back, cerebral sports like bowling, golf, and baseball. I could see somebody off the right blend of sative/indica just zoning in on hand/eye coordination after smoking marijuana and use that state of mind as an identifier, associating that state of mind w/ focus on their respective sport.
I also could see weight-lifting being enhanced off an energetic sativa, almost having an amphetamine-like effect.

I don't smoke so what the fuck do I know.....but I find weed heads to be lazy in general (ie. Sheed/Kemp/B-Easy/Javale). (Coke heads are a different story....Bankers/Lawyers who work 18hrs a day)

like smoking vs eating and the strain but whether you're sitting on the couch watching netflix, cleaning your baseboards by hand, or beating some pussy up weed tends to enhance your focus and enjoyment of whatever you're doing you can apply that to exercise and gain an advantage
