that he no bullshit, personally lost us 3 games last season. Like...honestly. I don't even know what to say anymore. As long as Jerry wants a yes man and not a coach with a set of balls...we'll continue to bathe in mediocrity. 7-7...my 8-8 prediction is right on schedule.

The numbness. It started with the Denver game. Peaked with the Detroit game. I'm still a little hot on that one.

The Arizona game two years ago. The Baltimore game last year.

Just.... yeah.

but not even Jerry can make someone this stupid in common football situations

it's like ok, you raised a bad child

now imagine he goes outside, shits in his hand, stuffs it in his mouth and then crawls blindfolded on the highway

but he isn't crazy though
he really thinks this will improve his life

If Garrett can just not do ONE of those things we win

Didn't Jerry take all the offensive play-calling away from Garrett this season?

The plays go through Garrett now and then to Romo
Garrett is the head coach and can simply say "run the ball"
He maybe doesn't call the play but he can absolutely have final call and dictate the situation

He can even say "Romo I don't give a shit what you see, No audibles on this play dogg"

It's Jerry's fault for hiring him. That doesn't take away the fact that he is by far maybe the stupidest coach ever. It's amazing how he outdoes himself

From all reports, offensive play calling was taken away from Garrett....

To me it's simple...The common thread to all of Dallas' failures is the owner...

Fire Garrett and the same things will continue to happen as long as Jerry is playing the role of GM/2nd Coach...

GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....

An offensive player said off the record that Callahan isn't the issue but communication is. And Tony checking out of called run plays is. Jason hinted at that as well in his press conference.

I don't know who to believe. I know there were several key plays when the backfield was empty when common sense says they needed to run.

Either way, incompetence. Death by 1000 cuts.

on that 2nd and 6. Garrett has headphones and needs to tell him not to under any circumstance and furthermore, don't even send in two plays in that situation

Guarantee if that was Parcells and he told Romo "you better don't change that play" Romo is not changing the play

Honestly though, shouldn't even have had a 2nd play call
One call and run the play

This is actually the perfect example of shit coaching

You have a grandad that meddles, a son that thinks he's the smartest guy in the room and a grandbaby that's spoiled and when under pressure, gets unruly.

Jimmy and Parcells didn't take that meddling stuff and Parcells got the heck out of dodge at the very hint of it.

Just like Raiders fans had to wait for Al Davis to pass away before they could even think about improving their team

it looks like DAL and WAS are riding in the same boat

I'm not sure what you can do when the owner is the problem

It's Garrett's job to manage Romo in situations like this
A simple "run the play, no exceptions" from the head coach would have sufficed

...that explains a lot. that little option slant/hitch is one of the easiest reads in the NFL, but Romo still fucked it up royally.

Matthews was on the edge the entire pre-snap, so knowing he had no blockers and a free rusher in his passing lane, you'd think Romo would've stuck with the run. even after he deftly eluded Matthews and had space to make a throw, he doesn't set his feet and flings up a gimmie (aside from teleporting, Austin couldn't have done shit to save that pass). oh, and they just needed to run the ball anyway.

three dumbass decisions by the franchise quarterback in crunch time. Romo should wear this one as much as his clueless head coach.

why were we not running?

Garrett has had years to learn on the job and still, nothing

than most of the playoff qbs. even with all the bullshittery trying to win games for a team that can't put it away after 50 mins or even full games of mistake free production from him.

every on here felt like he needed to make something happen. it's no reason he threw that shit away.

they came in to the game at the top of the league in protecting the ball and red zone percentage and are still better than most teams here. that shit is 95% tony.

just like the denver game....peyton gonna double him up this season on give aways but get credit for leading em to the playoffs and being petyton.

you shouldn't have to handcuff a vet franchise QB. Tony made some bad plays down the stretch but for the most part he's been great this season.

Garrett draws up plays on a etch-a-sketch & throw in our D being ass juice & there you have the 2013 Cowboys..

but either way, Tony Romo ain't Peyton Manning.

My problem with Garrett wouldn't be calling a play in a package that has a throw option in it or not specifically telling Tony 'DON'T RUN' (I mean, that would have been ideal on Garrett's part but it probably should be safely assumed by the QB regardless) it's the fact that he's only just now putting it out there that it was Romo's audible, which to me just says 'I've reached Def-Con-5 level, I know this season is over & I will likely be fired so let me try this last minute bit of bitchassedness while posing as holding my much-maligned QB accountable as a last-ditch-effort'.

Not to mention Garrett did more than enough dumb things on his own late in this game.

No real point in isolating it & trying to spin it all on Romo at this point.

He'll get enough heat as is.

After the 3rd down goal line stop / Murray run at the end of the game, Garrett was trying to call a timeout right after the play and Romo had to yell/plead with him to not do it until the play clock ran down so in the event they score, Washington would have less time to get into FG range. I mean, c'mon. Every week they gotta play themselves and the coaching:

Garrett is the head coach and has power of the offense. I know he at least has the power to veto certain shit or in obvious circumstances to put his foot down.

2nd and 1 from the 2 -- Pass and we get sacked for loss of 10

3rd and 1 from the 2 -- Pass. Though we ran next and scored on 4th down, shit was still dumb as all hell

1st and goal from the 5 (running game unstoppable) -- pass and INT

The line is strong now and your QB had limited reps in practice and pre-season but nah, lets pass in these simple ass situations. Not running on 2nd and 2 from the 1 is maybe the dumbest decision ever

Cowboys yo

Weeden is Weeden, but they tried to sick the escape goat on that dude and say all the checkdowns were him being shook. Even had me saying he should throw down the field more. Well maybe some of them were shook checks, but the real reason that dude was a checkdown monster is because Garrett offensive design is sick and frail. Every pattern is either seams or comebacks 15 yards down the field with the exception of like 3rd and 7, then it is 6 yards comebacks. 3rd and 4 and this dude has the WRs 10-15 yards down the field ALL THE TIME. Runs slants, hitches and drags like once a game.

The defense knows what is coming 9-10 times, no guessing at all. I've never been so accurate in calling plays out before they happen. Routinely on 2nd and 3 for example, he will take out Dez and Terrence and put in that jumbo shit. No question, no question no question what is coming, and we continuously watch the run get stuffed in those scenarios.

Every now then, dude will spread the offense and completely gash teams on the run (surprise dumb, they don't know what's coming when you do that), get in the redzone, have a 2nd and 2 and go empty backfield and a minute later FG time. Him or Linehan, whatever (this is some Garrett shit though he been dumb since he was with Wade)

This dude still living in the 90s on that "we're better, line up and beat your man, execution!" Shit ain't been like that since the salary cap fully changed. Have to get creative sometimes and he is fully incapable of doing that. The gameplan is the gameplan, even when it isn't working. Sometimes you fail instilling your will, change it up maybe... NOPE, lets keep punching brick walls

Back ups need to be coached up. Every week I see supposed bums/backup QBs move the ball with other teams, make plays down the field, generate some excitement in the midst of the mistakes and get some points. Cowboys are the only team that can not do it and it is not a coincidence, Garrett offense is trash. That's why like Pinko said, every damn play Romo is doing sign language until there is 1 second left on the playclock.

You don't ever see shit like busted coverages vs Dallas

I wish I was exaggerating about all of this stupidity but I am really not. I think I post something like this about every 2-4 weeks during football season(s).

Just to add to the ridiculousness of the NFC East with them still being able to win the division at 4-9

He has a chance to stay doesn't he?

If Garrett is retained I'm out

I won't ever become a fan of another team but I'll just passively follow moving forward, with hope of obtaining full apathy

Man I've been seeing/thinking this since the interviews, but didn't want to give credence to the theory. Shit is really possible.

I mean coaches of that caliber with those resumes wouldn't agree to coach under Garrett right?
