I'm looking for new ideas for payouts or rules to spice things up.
This season I'm implementing Restricted Free Agents (to go along with our normal two keepers) and the Reggie Bush Tax.
RFA: Can choose to keep a third player, designated as RFA. Same keeper rules apply (give up pick two rounds higher), but other owners can bid on your RFA (with a pick higher than what you're giving up). Owner then gets opportunity to match that bid, or let the player go.
Reggie Bush Tax: $1 for each week Bush is on your team and an extra $1 for each week he plays. Taken only from winnings, and the funds go to the overall winner. (It's a UCLA-centric league)

The gamesmanship involved in this could be glorious.

lol. After Week 1 last year, I offered the guy who picked up Kevin Ogletree $1 for every week he kept him rostered. I paid him $1. (Also, him grabbing Ogletree of Waivers is why I got Alfred Morris, my own keeper gem. That's that slow burn.)
