Bernie Kosar- come on in the 80's he was the man in CTown. #19 Jerseys were everywhere. Not to mention how many times he led the team to the AFC championship only to be shutdown by John Elway. You should seen the uproar when he was cut by Bill Billichick for "diminishing skills"

MichAEl Dean Perry- his brother got all the press but clearly this was the baller in the family. he made the pro bowl several times. He even had a local McDonalds sandwich named after him the McDP which was 3 burgers, cheese and lettuce w special sauce.

Chip Bank-Before the drug problem he was a beast! Defensive Rookie of year and All Pro

Eric Metcalf-the most electrifying player iv'e personally seen. he was a threat to take it home every time he touched the ball. I still remember that Monday night move he put on the Chargers

Brian Brennan-the prototypical, dependable, catch everything, small, white slot receiver before their was one

Ernest Byner- the world remembers the "Fumble"...yes it hurt but Ernest we forgive you. went on to a long and durable career w the Redskins as a duel threat. if I mention him I have to mention
Kevin Mack. They were one of the first backfields to both have 1000 yds. rushing in the same season

A few that spring to mind are Leonard Marshall, Carl Banks, Pepper Johnson, Mark Collins, and Jessie Armstead. All outstanding defensive players, each with a number of Pro Bowls to their credit, but not Hall worthy. There are, of course, others.

I realize Phillys love/hate w Donovan but you don't consider him a Tier 2 guy? To me he was more than very good and his play transcended local legend/Hall of VG. Mabye not quite HOF but widely acknowledged as on the cusp

..you could pick any number of offensive players from tampa's history, but none more deserving than dunn (esp since he played with one of the greatest defenses in league history)

at just 5'9, he was a bona fide threat on any play. rookie of the year, 3 pro bowl selections, and over 10k rushing.

fans loved him for his presence on AND off the field. his charitable efforts with Home For The Holidays (HFTH) and Betty's Hope (named after his mother) have made substantial contributions to the lives of many by rewarding single-parent families with 1st time home ownership, as well as bereavement programs for children.

*Dunn's mother (Betty Smothers) was murdered in 1993 while escorting a business woman to make a bank deposit, leaving him to raise his siblings at just 18 yrs old. his humanitarian efforts earned him the 2004 Walter Payton Man of the Year award.

unfortunately, he wasn't on the roster when the bucs won the superbowl in '02. if ever there was a player who deserved an honorary ring, its him.

Dave Kreig, Jim Zorn, Matt Hassleback, Joe Nash, and Marcus Trufant. Adnmittedly, I don't remember their defensive players as well as those who played on offense (but that's probably for good reason).

When you factor in their (future) hall of famer's like Walter Jones, Cortez Kennedy, and Steve Hutchinson, they've really had a lot of individual talent over the past 20 years (though not as of late).
