ugly ass shots taken in the first quarter - especially in that last couple minute stretch. Ginobli looked like a Shaq on his three point attempt. Splitter fucking air balled a 2 foot lay up. Just some ugly, ugly shooting on display there.

Nice to see the Spurs catching fire now. Outstanding fade away jumper by Duncan. Next series, Duncan beautifully kicks it out to Green for the 3. Then Kawhi knocks one down from 3 on the next possession. Fun to watch.

where he's from. Played ball at Towson while I was there. We were pretty fortunate to land him after he was booted from LaSalle (or was it Drexel???). Clearly remember playing some pick up ball against him during open gyms in the spring. Never imagined he would make his way onto the Spurs. He's got some glaring weaknesses, but is still carving out a very nice career in the NBA.

Oddly enough, I ran into him at an O's game last summer. I think I was the only one in the immediate area to even recognize him.

Went to Lasalle and got jammed up, then came to Towson and tore that league up. Still plays ball in the city during the off season. Gym rat.. dude is ALWAYS workin on his craft.

before our eyes. Never expected them to turn it on like this in the playoffs (well, the conference semis and finals thus far). Clearly, they have been the difference makers. Tony and Duncan no longer need to carry this team. Kawhi was always good on D, he just never posed as a threat on offense. Now, him and Green are duel threats that need to be accounted for.

Manu almost fucked up another WCF with his foul... anyone remember 2006 game 7 vs Mavs....


Parker looked like MVP parker in the first 3 quarters. But it was obvious he was on empty in the 4rth. Pop made a mistake, but he ain't perfect.

Spurs went cold, made stupid fouls (not just manu), had plenty of chances to wrap it up. It's a good thing they won... and it's also a good reminder to not let up and play 48 minutes in these playoffs. No win is safe sometimes.

Splitter holding the paint well.. continuing to do well, this series has been better for him than the last one.

Grizzlies had 4 quarters and an OT and couldn't crack 90 points.

Pondex/Bayless got more minutes, but shot 10 for 24 for 25 points. Keeps shots away from ZBO/Gasol.

The FTA disparity in the second half effed TP and Manu up. Both were tired by then and TP stopped driving the basket and settling for jumpers. If you're already tired and know the refs aren't going to blow the whistle for you, you give up on penetration. Once TP's threat of slashing was gone, the rest of the game plan fell apart. Memph felt, correctly, that they could pressure more and be more physical on D.

Thank God for Duncan's "Naw, we're not losing this sh__" attitude. He owned OT and gave nary a fk about getting fouled in the process. He's been out to prove a point that he's STILL the one of the best big men in the game, and that the Memph vs Heat talk was wild premature. A lot of dudes are looking stupid right now. Much respect to Memphis, but OKC came back from 2-0 because KD and Russ can SCORE. It took them a while to figure that out last year. There are no prolific scorers on the Memph squad like that.
