Riley is second on the all-time playoff win list with 171. If I'm not mistaken, Pops is third with 119. He just turned 64, his players are getting older, but the younger generation of Spurs seems to fit his system beautifully. Can he pass Riley before he retires?
The Spurs will be good for awhile with their younger talent and their great scouting/drafting, but unless they fall into another great player soon, Pop will retire before he gets there.

So that means SA has to advance to the WCF a few more times at a minimum. I'm not sure if they can hold off the young guns in the West going forward...

he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who won't know what to do with himself when he's done coaching. and i don't expect the transition post-tim to be a quick one....doubt he has time to see that through.
