as a Nuggets assistant a few years ago, there's no way he was going to have enough credibility with the players to be successful in the NBA.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

the kid has a nice all-around game but see he as more of a glue guy and on don't think he'd even be somebody that could carry a franchise which is usually what you want from a #2 overall pick, if he's one of your 2 best players you're not winning a lot of games

That's why he's mad at MJ, cuz he realizes MKG's talent.

Might be wrong.

You're the one sticking a fork in a 19 year old after year one. Good luck with that though.

You think Brendan Haywood, Ben Gordon, Ramon Sessions gonna listen to a kid?

You gotta destroy and rebuild.

He's gotta hit the gym too and work on the jumper. I'm confident he will.

done in the NBA, it's not like you can just go out and pull in a new recruiting class.

Also I don't really know if MKG is a guy that you build around. I think he's more suited to being a role player on a good team instead of the star. He's been compared to Igoudala and Igoudala is a guy that's extremely talented but we've already seen he's not really a guy that you can build around. And honestly I don't know if MKG is quite as skilled as Igoudala was even as a rookie.

I thought that was the plan to suck and build up talent while having a young "cheap" coach to groom them.

Now after one season he fires the guy. Because they're bad?

I'd like to think that Rich Cho can talk Mike out of it but unless Ben Gordon wasn't the only one with problems with Dunlap, I'm not sure why you fire him when you have another year of tanking ahead of you. Worst case scenario is they make some panic moves to add talent, become a late lotto team, and miss out on the top of next year's draft.

He said he wanted to follow the ThunderSonics approach of trying to get a top pick for multiple years. Next year is the worst year to try to win since the 2014 draft is loaded. He probably should have known better than to think Jordan would be cool with losing but it's actually a good plan if they just hold out another year.
