Out of all the lower seeds, Golden State matches up the best with Denver. The one thing Denver doesn't do well is defend the 3...which is exactly what GS does the best.
D. Lee helps at least neutralize their interior presence as a big that can run the floor well.

...really tough to pull off. Denver is a very good team, and they're close to unstoppable at home. To me, this series was always about going the young players play-off battle tested so we can build on something next year. If we won a few games, that was gravy.
I just find it funny that some Rockets and Lakers fans (not all, not even most) took it really personal that the Warriors were better than both of them this year.

As a Warrior's fan I knew it was going to take a lot breaks going our way to get past the Nuggets so the chances for advancement even with Lee were pretty low. This year was about making it an exciting series and giving the young guys a taste of the play-offs to motivate them for the off-season and set them up for next year.
Lee has really been one of the emotional leaders on the team since he cam over and despite his generally awful defense has really been giving a lot this season. You could tell he desperately wanted to experience play-off basketball after so many years of losing. To get an injury like this in his first game has got to be really demoralizing.
Any chance the Warriors have now depends on Landry and Green picking up the rebounding slack with Lee out and Curry and Klay going just insanely hot from 3-point range.

.. Hasn't been right in YEARS though. Played well down the stretch though. But question is what line up do they play? Barnes at pf? Surely not ezeli / bogut front court .. Probably be curry Klay green barnes bogut. Would like to see a jack curry Klay Barnes bogut starting line up
