i mean the Denver Nuggets ain't exactly losing tears over Melo being gone.

Griffin can only get better which is scary can Melo be anything more than a Scorer i mean on the real? Melo is a Better player however it ain't like a team can't function without him and be successful ya know?

Blake shooting 57%, a better rebounder and dropping more dimes (FROM PF/C) in way less minutes. It's not as laughable as you think.

Whats laughable is that the nuggets managed to move melo for what has become Gallo, Chandler, Miller (Felton trade), Koufos (Can't remember how but it was a part of the trade) and Mozgov.

Blake is not as good as Carmelo. Let's hush.

What's laughable is how much better the Knicks are with
Carmelo than they were with those guys.

Even more laughable is how the Nuggetts won't get further
in the playoffs with this team than Carmelo took them in
2009 (only time he had a decent, healthy team).

it's not like they just added melo and it was an instant smash. it took putting together a new roster, getting a new coach and the eastern conference totally emptying out of talent to get to this point.

this is the worst the east has been since the nets were winning the conference. putrid. this is not like a lasting thing, the knicks will be mediocre again in short order.

denver definitely made their team better by dealing him, short run and long. new york may have made their team better by acquiring him long term, they definitely did in the short run.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Every top team in the west got a number 2 and 3 thats better than jr and even teams under the knicks like brooklyn. Knicks are as far as they are bc melo been playing out of his mind this season. But unless we get amare or another consistent number 2, knicks will be around a 4/5 seed in the east.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

And it isn't an accurate representation of his career.

Yes the Knicks are 2nd in the east. But that is like 7th overall, the East is just INCREDIBLY weak after the Heat.

Also the Nuggets are better then the Knicks, and better then they were with Melo. Cry aboot it.

oh and lol at the knicks being 7th overall(if true) being a bad thing. the knicks were around 20th overall before Melo got there lol.

- The Nuggets got better in the trade. They STILL won't
be better than the 09 Nuggets, led by Carmelo, who took
the Lakers to 6 games in the WCF.

- The Knicks got MUCH better in the trade. MUCH.

it always bothers me when people try to pick a winner and loser in that trade.

under the circumstances, both teams and fanbases won. done deal.

Melo wanted to go and didn't waste a ridic amount of time trying to convince melo to stay AND they had a eager owner willing to give the world to get melo. But the Knicks got the best player by far in the trade.

The only loser in the trade were the nets who had to settle on dwillz lolz.

since it keeps getting bumped, it actually kinda started bothering me 'cause I'm not tryna enter the OKS canon or anything.

But I seriously was just looking at the Nuggets roster getting excited for the then-upcoming 2K13 season and thought, man, I want to play as THAT team. Which means I'd obviously love to watch them in actual 3D as well. I didn't feel like the Nuggets got any worse at ALL, but they presented a different threat with those three Knicks than the Knicks did when they had them. With McGee, Lawson and Miller I just saw that team being ridiculous in terms of athleticism and spreading the floor out. Nothing about that trade forced them to stop playing Denver basketball - in fact, it helped them to enhance that style, with more bodies and fresher legs.

The Knicks didn't need and weren't looking for that, besides D'Antoni. They needed a player to gravitate around (it's a shame Amar'e's run that first year is brushed aside so easily now) and look to the future towards. What hasn't Melo been but that? He's had the same sidekick as he had most of his best Denver years, and quite a few of his favorite supporting characters, and he's been nothing but better than he was in Denver.

When Nene couldn't play because of his knee, or cancer (and he was a VERy clever post player at that time) that really hurt Melo and the Nuggets' roster flexibility, because Nene was making $45 or $50mil or whatever it was. Amare makes more than that, and meant nearly everything to the Knicks before the Melo trade. It's not a surprise if it's somewhat devastating to the Knicks that he's nearly useless most of the year. You tell me Melo and Amare can't play together, I tell you I still have no idea but both of them take up half of the salary cap and only one of them gets on the floor. It's baffling to over look that.

It's a real shame Gallo went down, but that's the luxury of Chandler I suppose.
