- Liberty is 14-20, with zero back-to-back wins all season until this conference tourney. They played CSU tight earlier in the year, only losing by 4. Can their miracle run conclude with a tourney bid? (Probably not, but I'll be goddamned if I'm not watching and rooting for them.)

- Can PSU pull off one more miracle against a flailing Wisconsin team? (Probably not, but I'll be goddamned if I'm not rooting for them, even though I'll be busy watching Liberty.)

- Temple is currently on the bubble, leaning towards in. Beating VCU would lock them in. They're on a hot streak... can they outsmart Smart? I'd say no, but what the hell do I know? I've only seen Temple once this year.

- Every time I underestimate Illinois and talk about how mediocre they are, they win a big game. Like last time they played the Bucks. Something tells me Craft and Thomas are gonna be thirsty for blood after the embarrassment earlier this season.

- The Shockers split with Creighton during the regular season... but McDermott is averaging 33 points per game against them. Both teams are in, only dignity and glory at stake... kinda hard to bet against Dougie here.

- While I'm pretty certain even WITH a loss, Indiana might get that #1 seed all the same... dropping 3 of your last 4 es no bueno. Michigan is killer on offense, and the Hoosiers have no real answer for Burke... but Michigan has no answer for what Zeller brings to the table. Or even Watford, really. Unless Michigan can find a way to BANG with Zeller down low in the paint and play him physically, he will eat them up like he did last time. Should be one hell of a game... and with the way Indiana's played as of late, I'm not confident enough to call a winner.

-Michigan State just needs to hold homecourt and pray for a Hoosier loss. They'll hold homecourt.

- Maryland MUST win to stay on the bubble. Virginia MUST win to get off the bubble. Seeing as how the Cavs took it to the Terps in College Park, I have trouble believing that after two devastating road losses in a row, Joe Harris will do anything other than go the fuck off at home.

- Did y'all see Andrew Wiggins at that UNC game, pulling his fitted down, looking only at his phone, embarrassed by what was happening on the court? Yeah, I did too. It was hilarious.

He's still somewhat turnover prone, but the defense, the athleticism, the shot selection, the closing at the rim, the rebounding for a guard, the improvement from the perimeter... he's even got a sick post game for a 2 guard.

With a dope tourney, it's pretty insane to believe the names he could leap past.

Yes they missed big FTs at the end, but still finished ahead of us +2 in free throws and shot essentially the same percentage.

The real reason is cause we destroyed UM in the paint. +21 rebounds. +9 offensive boards with 19 total.

If we own the glass like that from here on out, we'll be fine. With a decent showing at the B1G tourney, which we ought to make essentially a home game, we won't face a tough crowd again until Atlanta, if we can make it that far.

Not the margin, I mean. The fact that you killed them on the boards. I assumed that was a given. They're not a very good rebounding team, and they're not especially big.

You match up especially well against Michigan predominantly for that reason. It's far more likely you'd lose to a bigger team that plays physical in the paint in the Big Ten tourney than to a team like Michigan. (I think you'll win the tourney, just pointing out the somewhat-obvious.)

I was surprised how poor Indiana's defensive switches were around the perimeter, especially in the second half, considering how one-dimensional the Michigan offense had become. Hopefully they'll fix that before tourney time.

You're a fun team to watch. I'm just glad you're not gonna fall to a 2 seed. I'd prefer to put off a Duke-Indiana matchup til a later round if possible.

I just didn't want any finger pointing at the missed free throws as the only reason for the loss.

All our losses, out bodying us in the paint was what led to our demise. Whisky, Minnesota, OSU Butler and Illinois all out hustled us and beat us in the paint.

Exactly why I didn't get my hopes up

Hopefully we play them and give them the beatdown they so deserve

Tom Crean Chews Out Former Kelvin Sampson Assistant, Jeff Meyer COACH MELTDOWNS

After Indiana won its first outright Big Ten regular-season title since 1993 with a 72-71 win over Michigan, Tom Crean decided to confront Jeff Meyer. Meyer is a current assistant with Michigan and was previously an assistant coach at Indiana during Kelvin Sampson's controversial time with the program.

It's hard to say what exactly went down, but Crean clearly tracked Meyer down at the end of the game and yelled, among other things, "you know what you did...you held up the program." After the game, Crean did not elaborate on the altercation.

Crean was photographed being restrained by an Indiana staffer.

He was asked about the incident after the game, and offered very little comment.

"It's a heated game," Crean told reporters. "Go ask him."
Crean took over the program after Sampson was forced to resign when the NCAA accused he and his staff of four major NCAA violations for making more than 100 "impermissible phone calls to recruits."

Something went awry during the initial handshake that led Crean to follow up and berate him. The quote I've seen isn't you held up our program, but rather "you helped wreck our program"

Just intraconference coaching rivalries. I'm all for the hate, and happy with the pride Crean continues to show. Lets not forget he really got his jump with Izzo at MSU, so he's got zero love for Michigan
