got to give it up to Drew II.... he really has turned himself into a solid point guard...
many project him in the first round of this NBA draft.....
if this ends up being Ben Howland's last year....he's going to leave having put having put another solid point guard into the NBA...Drew may be his most rewarding accomplishment..
the guy has turned into the proto-type Ben Howland guard...he's a solid defender and one of the best assist men in the country right now.....shifting his game to the point where you actually wanted him to shoot the ball more as he focused on becoming a facilitator first..
glad to see the guy's college career end on the positive after what happened at UNC...

He went from a total liability to score (I remember the first ASU game Sendek told their PG to back off him like 10 feet, and he still couldn't make them pay), to a guy who you at least have to respect to put the ball in the bucket, and is probably the most natural distributor of all the Howland guards.
That being said, I don't think the NBA is knocking down the door for an average sized, average athleticism point guard who's played like 5 good games in his career to this point. He'll probably at least get invited to Portsmouth though and get a chance to claw his way in to the league, which is WAY more than I can say a few months ago.

a place to fit in and gain some confidence in his shot.... I remember that ASU game...I think the next game he came out taking 3s and knocking down jumpers...I was like where has that been...
I have a feeling he's going to continue to gain momentum the rest of this season and it will be on the big stage...
