you better beat a Celtics team more beat-up than you who played last night in Los Angeles the first game after the late great Jerry Buss' demise.

Even Howard looks like he's out there engaged a bit.

I'm saying that dude is playing with a bad back and shoulder and is having a GREAT game...

U can nitpick at him if you want...But if I was a Laker fan my only concern would be if dude can get back to 100 percent health wise...

All this other stuff is needless....

it's one of those things that a team can't overcome..

your center gets stripped a lot is like your Quarterback fumbles the ball too much...Or your shortstop committs too many errors...

it's one of those things that makes it difficult to win....

because in the finals when the lakers beat the magic Fisher and crew stripped Dwight left and right in the post and amazingly in 4 years he still hasn't been able to prevent that aspect that works against his game to this day.

however he is ballin tonight though. celtics are just old period.

He always brings it down before he goes up, and everyone knows that. Bynum always keeps the ball up high.

after Bynum worked with Cap.... his footwork, positioning, and how he held the ball all drasticlly improved..

I know Pat Ewing worked a lot with Dwight but maybe Cap can get him out of that habit.

Kareem worked with Shawn Bradley & Olowakandi too.

Point being, D12 kinda is who he is at this point & yes he sucks at free throws plus gets stripped too much.

But if he can give you what he did last night which is closer to what he was in Orlando, then you can live with that.

until he started working with Kareem. The first real upswing in Drew's development came when he was working with Cap.... Most would say that he would have continued to develop if Drew had kept working with him....

>Kareem worked with Shawn Bradley & Olowakandi too.

and Michael Jordan personally worked out and vouched for Kwame Brown as a #1 overall pick....lol. it happens.

I think for most nba guys...they get to a point where they are not going to improve.... Dwight may be at that point...but he'd be well served to work with Kareem if he's going to stay a Laker because he has some deficiencies that are very specific and they are the same type of things that he brought out in Drew...

His most noticeable upswing was after he had long since been done with Cap.

Bynum was 17, he was gonna get better.

I wouldn't sell his work there as a difference-maker if we're skipping that his work with other guys didn't really show much.

Yeah, I just think he is what he is. Dwight's gonna be resistent to that whole thing & it's just gonna be another subplot they don't need.

At this point I'd think the best you can hope for is that he gets healthier & more in game shape, stops acting like a bitch, plus gives consistent effort in setting screens/being active around the basket.

Nights like this make me apologize for ever doubting him, Based Dwight!

I haven't been so frustrated and apathetic about this team since before they went on that 17 (was it 17/ I forget.) game tear last year (or was it the year before) and I just kept talking more and more shit on them so as not to curse the momentum.

Fucking roller coaster ass season, watch Dwight ball so hard (c) tonight while Kobe dons his Kobe Johnson uni and they still lose.

He even said it....he used to play 40+ mins (case in point: dude had a 30-20 game on the third night of a back to back to back last year, absolutely ridiculous) and not be tired, currently he's winded after 10 mins.

I get criticizing dude for his sensitivity and being non-committal...but criticizing a player who came back 3 months early from back surgery and is clearly still finding his fitness, I don't get that.

I just so frustrated that I want everyone gone from this squad and want the whole damn thing blown up yesterday. Basically, the point of my post was that seeing such solid play plants seeds of false hope that I know will not bear fruit this season.

touches in the current physical state he's in. I'm all for being patient with the recovery. But him worrying about post up touches when he's above average at best when he's healthy had me side eyeing that dude. Tonight he was setting REAL screens and the ball rotated to him in great spots. he hasn't been doing that consistently all year

a consistent and spirited effort by the Lakers in a home game with an emotional franchise legacy tie-in while trying to get into the playoffs that the C's are already comfortably into should be emough to beat this version of the Celtics on the second night of a road back-to-back regardless of whether the Celtics 'mail it in' or not.
