The actual anniversary date of Jeremy's game vs NJ/Brooklyn was February 4th, but I kinda forgot about it in the midst all the Rudy Gay Terrorism talk and then also thought it would be better to make the post the day jeremy actually had a game.

2/5 is kind of the anniversary of the news media starting "linsanity" anyways.

Where were you the night of the game?

Me I was home as usual on Friday. He had played a little in the boston game which I also saw (and he wasnt great) but the way things were going for the Knicks I figured he might get another shot. He did, and we all know what happened from there. I still have a bunch of the games on my DVR hd. Too bad I cant burn them.

Interestingly enough he plays his hometown team, the Warriors...but its in Houston, not Gstate.

Theres a Linsanity movie that played last week at Sundance. Jeremy actually made it to the premier cause they played Utah the next night.

Tonights NBA Lineup: Only a few games but some decent ones.

ATL @ IND- battle for middle of the pack in the East.

Lakers at BK- another chance for the it had to start sometime Lakers to show and prove theyre really coming for that playoff spot.

Gstate at Hou- Rockets need this game cause tey have a real tough stretch on the road coming up.

Phx at Memph- Tayshaun and Ed Davis watch, I guess.

Mil at Denver- Should be a fun game. Ty Lawson been ballin recently and Iggy has also stepped up.

As for the Lin agenda, I have no dog in the fight. I was one that said I'd like to keep him on the Knicks but not for that contract. I said Felton would be fine and he is. I'm glad Lin got his $ somewhere else. I'm also glad Harden's balling because it would have put enormous pressure on Lin to live up to the Linsanity month he had

Deron didn't really do that much all game but I only actually watched the second half.

He was busting Pau's ass on the face-up but Earl can more than match him laterally and forced Lopez to shoot over his length.

As far as Deron...I've never seen him lacking this much confidence in his jumper. He has Nash at about 17 feet, once he rises up, it's a clean look....but he refused to shoot it.

He can back him down but he still has to get that shot over him...Earl's length and timing are pretty damn good. Shit, I never expected him to be this good. (edit: post game: Earl just said that he was sitting on Brook's inside shoulder, forcing him to the baseline, and then challenging his shot).

he's really not, and he's hit some big shots... for some reason he just wasnt getting the rock late tonight... that's on deron and carlesimo and joe himself

it may be Deron/coach/system...but he is not demanding the ball, considering that guard play and perimeter shooting are their biggest issues. Points, assists, and overall presence is down from his ATL days. Conversely, JR is about 4 points higher per game than his last few years. Even though he still does some stupid plays, they are way less than he used to. He is also more within the offense now, rather than coming off like a gunslinger trying to chuck some nastiness in ballgames to impress himself.

I am really disappointed with Joe Johnson (and D Will, whom I used to tout as the best PG in the game, boy has he regressed), but he has picked it up recently, but still not enough to get me off his case.
