(sidebar convo...i read an article abt 1 of the players from the miracle on ice selling his jersey. 1) he will get millions for that shit. HUNH?! 2) it was characterized as perhaps THE seminal American sports moment of the 20th century. I was like 3 in 1980 so i asked my pops what was he doing when that shit happened. he was like 'prolly freezing my ass off @ work and not giving a fuck.' aka nobody watches honkey)

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

I never really had a team, but I was loving the Titans heavy from 1999 to like 2006 or whenever it was, when all the greats were gone and Tyrone Calico was our future (a MONSTER on Madden, but that's one thing). Then I just couldn't bring myself to care. I just started watching football regularly again cause I finally have HDTV at home.
Still love the Huskers HARD, though those Steve Pedersen/Bill Callahan years were rough.
For me it's easily post-NBA Finals. I haven't given a single damn about baseball since all the lefties left the Mariners, though those first couple Ichiro seasons were fun the stat geeks broke into the mainstream and it just became a less fun game. Luckily stat geekery is only enhancing my enjoyment of the NBA because the game itself still looks so fluid.
