There was talk, shortly after the draft, about the possibility of a Bird/Magic-type rivalry between RGIII and Luck. It was said that they will always be compared to one another and each one's success (or lack thereof) would be the benchmark for other.

Then along came little Russell Wilson, pushing his way onto the stage (into the conversation) and linking himself with the other two, giving us the greatest rookie-year quarterback class performances ever (Three playoff appearances , plus numerous records broken.

This weekend will will be treated to the first of (hopefully) many match-ups of RGIII and Wilson at the professional level. All signs are pointing to this clash being an epic showdown between two all-world rookies, to move on in the playoffs.

I, personally, think that the Wilson/RGIII has the potential to be the bigger rivalry, as these two could be facing each other for years in the NFC playoffs, where as if Luck were to become as successful as predicted, he would need to meet these two in the Super Bowl a few times (a la Bird/Magic) and then once every four years in divisional match-ups.
