too mediocre to outright tank or give you the edge in winnable games

two more wins would have given him the division, and he had these Ls:

L vs. Washington, 24-16
L at Tennessee, 28-23
L at Arizona, 25-23
L vs. Tampa Bay, 29-25
L AT CAROLINA, 9-7

fighting chance to make the playoffs and they were outscored 85-34 in the last two weeks

we already know the Chargers and Panthers have to find a coach, will Antonio Pierce get the job in Vegas? You have to think Mark Davis wouldn’t make the mistake of replacing another successful interim coach.

Is Belichick done in New England? Will he be allowed to step down or will he be fired?

Did Matt Eberfus do enough to keep his job in Chicago?

Is Ron Rivera finally done in Washington?

Do the Giants give Brian Daboll another chance?

I don't see him being retained unless they hire a defensive minded head coach.

He's several years from his "hot" period as a head coaching candidate, and he didn't exactly wow anyone with his play calling here in DC, and ruffled the players a bit.

I think he gets a job, but not a HC one. Probably will be a token Rooney rule interview once he gets let go.

I think this is a huge mistake. When you have a guy bring that kind of culture in the building you give him a chance to retool that. He's shown what he can do with the right talent in place.

There's franchises like the Steelers who stay the course when they know they've got a great coach.....and the build around them to support that. Then there's cheap teams like the Bengals and Chargers who won't fire a coach because they're cheap but even those teams luck up and get talent every so often. The morale is you need talent AND a competent coach. Vrabel is more than a competent coach.

I mean, they had one year as the #1 seed and when they traded AJ Brown it was weird.

They haven’t recovered from that trade.

I think with the Rookie QB looking legit they will try to get an offense minded coach.

You know they were playing ping pong BEFORE AND DURING a season like that too! Hehe.

I'm more tight about this than Crab Legs and them giving Jamaal Williams a TD. Maybe I'm a jerk tho cuz fuck Arthur Smith even though doing it out of a victory formation wasn't real Compton city gs material at all.

last thing anyone should be doing is playing ping pong in that locker room. Pack up and GTFO.

A former player was like "man, if the X Box is plugged in and someone challenges you, you gotta pick up them sticks.. we are competitors"

I get it's a gig and all but man... no one should be trying to have fun right now.

the locker room loves him, the fans love him to the point that i don't think i've ever seen fans chanting a coach's name, until this week.

the raiders and harbaugh have been flirting with each other since Al Davis, and i get the appeal of snatching him up if he's available, but going for these home run hires havn't worked out for the Raiders, and my own personal reason i'd want Harbaugh is i don't want the Chargers to get him lol.

Harbaugh is the one name that would make the Raiders fuck this up with AP

and I could see him coming in and having success...

but I could also see him wearing out his welcome or the players revolting and once again seeing the team in purgatory.

It's a shame how interim HC's who are Black never get the crown regardless of team success or team chemistry.

(not saying you do) They just can't help themselves. Even though they KNOW they got a guy in-house who the players love, who the team showed improvement under and has the capacity to get better as a coach...they cannot resist the sweet elixir of hiring the big, splashy name and looking like a genius. EVEN after fucking up (and admitting as much) last time.

Wonder if he'd like to avoid being in same conference as his brother tho. Having to possibly go against each other every playoffs trying to knock each other out may be something he wants to avoid.

1 playoff win the last 7 years I believe. Yet fans of other teams will tell you that you are ungrateful for wanting change.

If we win a playoff game it will be the first time in 7 years as well.

it FEELS like this is what a majority of the fanbase wanted as well.

it was time. it's been time for a few seasons tbh.

i get it - we might take a nose dive. i don't think that will happen cuz we have some good pieces but anything is possible.

but, sometimes change is needed even at the risk of taking a dip in performance.

i expect the leading candidates to be Jim Harbaugh, Dan Quinn, Mike Vrabel and maybe Bienemy if the Commanders aren't giving him the job (not in that order just throwing out names).

i never hated that call, just the outcome.

i don't think it was a BAD call. teams run shit like that all the time at the goal line cuz all you gotta do is get the nose of the ball across the plane.

that said, it was the WRONG call. the ball should have went to Lynch.

if he has a bunch of talent on the roster.

damn near every coach who has left NE has looked like a fucking fraud without Brady.

Bill looks fucking lost without Brady and that roster he built is absolute trash.

I think he is done. He had the perfect QB, cheating and some of the most fucking favorable officiating I have ever seen during that run.

but the last SB he lost, he benched their best CB for some reason and watched his replacement get torched.

I think anyone who gets Bill is getting a Frank Reich type outcome. This is a guy who cant connect with the younger rosters and wanted to bring back Patricia after last years fiasco.

Good luck to whoever hires him.

The Patriots were bad this season but it wasn’t because defense.

You give Bill a team with a good QB and he hires a decent OC, Bill and that team will be fine.

To me, Bill to the Chargers makes the most sense. The Chargers have good defensive talent and they have Herbert.

To me, the Falcons don’t make any sense because they don’t have a QB.

does he have the patience to work with these young dudes at this age?

I din’t think he does.

I think Brady ran that offense and everyone else was along for the ride.

and people talk like if he had a good QB like Brady wasn’t the best to ever do it. The man went to Tampa and won a SB. In Tampa.

A good QB aint enough for Bill to get over the hump. He needs a clutch QB who is a fucking beast and rally the troops to run through a brick wall for him.

and Herbert is not a Brady. Dude is not clutch.

In response to Reply # 54

No one, other than Mahomes is close to Brady, so that isn’t a fair comparison to anyone playing right today.

Let’s not forget, early Patriot Super Bowl wins were low scoring games that the Pats won with defense, a running game, special teams and Brady largely being a game manager and not turning the ball over.

McDaniels has proven twice now that he isn’t a good HC but I think McDaniels is a good OC, he is a modern version of Norv Turner.

I think Belichick with McDaniels and a young QB with talent would do just fine.

you talking about shit that happened 20 years ago lol, he won 4 games last year, 2 years ago ago he tried to make a career defensive coach his offensive coordinator, there are reasons the Krafts showed him the door, to act like its all going to magically come together somewhere else where Tom Brady is not his QB is kind of far-fetched IMO

As bad as that offense was and as often as the Patriots defense was on the field this season they still ranked:

11th in passing defense
4th in rushing defense
7th in total defense

If I’m a team with an established QB, I would hire Bill the HC but not Bill the GM.

ESPN is saying the Pats can skip the league processes on coaching hiring because it was written into Mayo contract that he'd be the next head coach. I wonder what vetting goes into that because to me that's just going to be an easy way to avoid interviewing minority candidates if it's really that cut/dry

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

that could be used to avoid the rooney rule and hire white coaches internally!!!

Pretty sure every loophole l, trap door, and back door tactic has been used and abused to get white dudes hired without having to use the rooney rule.

because there is no loophole if you hire a Black coach internally.

The Rooney Rule wants more Black head coaches.

and owners have tried every trick in the book to get white dudes hired since the RR was introduced.

the Steelers aren't getting better anytime some, and if they're ever bad enough to get a high draft pick he's gone, apparently his contract being up and all the jobs coming open and ones that may potentially be open it may be as good as time as ever to make a move

He’s good enough to take a bad team to 9 wins which doesn’t get high draft picks for a difference maker at QB or a other position.

Tomorrow n wouldn’t get fired if he went 5-12 or 6-11 either. Fans would grumble loudly but Rooney doesn’t give a shit about that.

My issue is at some point Tomlin has to win again in the playoffs. You have to be able to upset someone and not only be able to win playoff games when favored.

our last 3 playoff games were over by halftime and the last 2 at home looked like the GB/Dallas game.

Hoping today is the day he gets back to winning.

Regardless, 17 years is a long time and 6 years is a long time without a playoff win.

Chargers seem more like a team he could have his way with

That goes for Jerry and Jim Harbaugh.

Doesn’t mean that Jerry won’t talk a big game about being willing to cede some control. But him winning the way he wants to win and holding the reins in the process is going to be paramount to him.

And Harbaugh may say he’s willing to work for an organization like the Cowboys and partner with Jones, but he wants to do things they way he wants and not answer to anyone

Could Dallashire Harbaugh? Sure. But that marriage would as soon as they hit their first bump

Who knows you may be right but I think Jerry is desperate and willing to try anything at this point and as far as Harbaugh we know all these coaches have huge egos and after what he accomplished at Michigan if he could bring the Cowboys back to the SB?

That’s the thing though: right now that gap between where Harbaugh and Jones are at is too big for it to work. Jerry’s at a complete disadvantage and would have to come at Harbaugh on some serious hat in hand shit. I think it’s more likely that he pursues Bellichick, who now has to prove he can win without Brady.

Not nearly as much as Harbaugh.

Harbaugh has all the leverage right now. He's coming off winning a chip (allbeit in college) doing shit his way. He's already got multiple organizations salivating over him. His stock is at the highest it's ever been and he can afford to dictate whatever terms he wants.

Bellichick is coming off of multiple subpar seasons. He's month away from turning 72. He's not nearly as in demand. He can't afford to ask for as much as Harbaugh is likely to ask for (both money and control) and expect to be taken seriously.

and they had already fulfilled the Rooney Rule according to sources on radio this morning.

If he took that gig clearly he is just looking for W’s to break the record and then retire.

This could also mean Bill is desperate and maybe the offers aren’t pouring in like expected.

Who knows.. just seems like the worst option out of all the gigs available.

he's been in a silo so long, he's going to clash with any new organization no matter how deferential he sounds in the interview

can't give him any team with a young quarterback in development because he proved he can't do that; he had Matt Patricia calling plays for his last first round quarterback for fucks sake

he's going to dabble in personnel and activate a fifth tight end for special teams purposes (even though New England's special teams were shit last year)

I think these organizations seeing Belichick as their savior are in for an unhappy surprise

I don't get what people are missing here.....the post Brady Belichick era was pretty telling. He only wanted yes men around and he was about an inflexible as a coach can be.....and it got worse every year. That roster is so imbalanced and essentially the equivalent of a beater car that only he knows how to drive. The sum of the parts are going to look pretty bad for a while.

He's a notoriously subpar personnel decision maker.....he over drafts his "type" of players and his drafts as a whole have been cheeks for YEARS.

Why anyone would hand him the keys at this point is beyond me.

You are probably right. No one in that division is very good. Carolina will have a new coach, Saints coach isn’t very good, he is average at best. Todd Bowles seems to always be on the hot seat with TB fans.

someone made a good point about the Pats not going outside for any interviews.

Said they missed a chance to get intel for free on how to make their team better.

You basically ask coaches what they would do to make your franchise win… and you don’t even have to pay them.

this is the guy who kept Jason Garrett for 9 seasons. Quinn will have had 5 interviews by the end of the week. He’s probably gone. I’ve said it several times, this season, but Jerry ain’t trying to win a SB, for real. As long as the cowboys are financially successful and he’s good ole popular Jerry…he’s good with the illusion of trying. He never even checked on those other coaches, just like he didn’t even look into Derrick Henry at the deadline. We’ll see what they do this offseason. Quinn gone, Pollard gone, Gilmore prolly gone, need linebackers…we’ll see.

Just the players. Average bros have been programmed to hate the players not the owners (for the most part). Hell, some of the owners are geniuses who fall back and stay not famous in football circles. You know the ones..the ones who DONT be…awl in the videoooooooos every time their team is on.

If they'd lost at Carolina last game of the season he would have been fired. Possibly the GM as well.

Now whether he can improve on this season's performance next year? I doubt it.

things seemed to be pointing to Champ Kelly getting the job but assume there's a little trepidation on hiring AP *and* a rookie GM.

I don't know alot about Telesco but the Chargers have built up quite a roster. They just shit the bed at head coach, but looks like that's about to change, because really, my ONLY apprehension about hiring AP was that I didn't want the Chargers to get Harbaugh Lol

Telesco was fairly good at the following things:

1. Getting his first round pick right
2. Trading away his second round pick and missing with the newly acquired pick.
3. Terrible at drafting in rounds 3-7

he's added some good names, (many who thru shit luck seem to be injury prone)
I obv don't have as much intel on him as you, but considering how awful the Raiders drafts have been for the past decade, anything will be an improvement. Aside from Mack, Jacobs and kolton Miller, our first round picks alone have been abysmal. Subsequent rounds not much better. We lucked up getting Crosby in a 4th round pick...it's been mostly pretty bad tho

so now the NFL has convinced themselves that guys who played small college ball at a mediocre level and joined as analysts at 22 are the move

meanwhile Kyle Shanahan played for Mack Brown, Andy Reid played for Lavell Edwards, Dan Campbell played for RC Slocum and in the NFL, John Harbaugh is a Harbaugh, and Demeco Ryans is the COTY

ive been very critical of Campbell's ability to manage executive decision making, but he has his nerd living in the Xs and Os world on offense while he leads the men, and i cant say ANYTHING bad about his ability to do that.

do the Dolphins players think of Mike McDaniel the same way the previously mentioned guys' players do?

highly doubtful

The Chiefs are Mahomes and Reid. Nagy failed spectacularly elsewhere and Bienemy did too.

Bienemy had complete autonomy over our offense with a rookie quarterback. He never made adjustments and threw 40 times a game. Bienemy is not the wizard everyone wants him to be and by all accounts his players hated him. On the exit interview day a bunch of our players were openly critical of his attitude and approach to playcalling, like on the record. He did a lot of damage in DC and will very likely not have a role here.

the Chiefs had their worst offensive numbers in the Mahomes era

not every coach is "liked" by his players

No shade but yall fucking suck and have not had success for a long time. Players complaining about a coach being hard on them is laughable given how bad you guys have been.

but I do agree that great players make coaches look great. Andy Reid is not having a run like this with Alex Smith.

And that’s totally fine, I can’t blame you. They were a horrific watch. But Bienemy was hated by his players and was terrible in-game. We averaged 17 points last year and averaged 17 points this year. He was a failure and unpopular with his personnel.

but the Eagles offense needs some serious rehab.

A chance to take some playcalling away from Sirianni is key.

New voices are needed around Jalen.

Dak had some great years under Moore. The times that weren't, the Cowboys had some serious injury issues.

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

Tomlin on his Billichek shit man…

all these young creative offensive dudes and we hire this dude?

Hope it works out but I’m telling yall, Tomlin just doesn’t seem like he is willing to get with the times on offense.

We need better passing concepts, running game is the last thing we need to work on right now.

IF he can do what he did with the Titans the 2 years he was OC there then I'm all for it but this Falcons stint just left a bad taste. Not every coordinator is meant to be a HC but man it's hard to overlook him mismanaging that talent and not be put off by that. Ridder was awful so that certainly has a lot do do with it but Pickett isn't some specimen either.

The Steelers are also a notoriously power/gap scheme run oriented offense......they did throw in some zone last year but they like power. They want to pull guards and double team gaps and run it into your face. Smith is a wide zone scheme guy so we'll see how that goes.

This is a classic Steelers hire. Not a chance in hell they were going to hand this over to a 30 year old first time coordinator even though they have no business approaching it that way after hiring Matt Canada. That was one of the most embarrassing hires they've ever made.

Smith is also 41 despite the fact that he looks 50.

never know how many shots you will get at being a HC in the NFL, Detroit could have a lot of injuries on offense next season and his star could fade

but would be a heck of a story if he made the Superbowl with them

If he plaaaaaays his caaaaards riiiiight....everythang's gonna be alriiiiiight!

AKA

He could get something like the Philly job after NEXT season if Siriani doesn't get it tight this upcoming year. IE: maybe BJ would rather roll with 'fixing' Hurts than Geno and whatever Washington is gonna have at QB. And we know how it goes, there's gonna be half a dozen gigs available next year too.

He IS taking a risk but we all know his risk ain't Leftwichian by any stretch. And Detroit's roster is honest. If they throw in the right upgrade anywhere on offense (I'm thinking WR), they could be kicking people square in their asses even moreso next year. We'll see!

defense was way worse on the field than it was on paper so i'm looking for marked improvement there.

very curious though who will run the offense because we have offensive talent (not that we were that bad offensively last year - defense was ASS JUICE).

i have no Bienemy agenda.

he was a very successful coordinator who is relatively young-ish as far as coaching goes (which matters as the NFL trends younger in that department) who has consistently been passed over again and again - this time by the team he's already at.

that just doesn't really happen these days. almost every guy who has been in his position, with the resume he has, has gotten a shot to run a team.

whether you think he's "that dude" or not, SOMETHING is funky there.

But the SOMETHING might not be what you all want it to be. Some team is supposed to name him head coach just because every other Andy Reid OC was?

It may not be hard to figure out that maybe this guy just ain't it when he gets in the room. That literally may be all there is to it. I know some people want it to be deeper than that but in this case it probably isn't.

He got his shot as an OC away from Reid and his offense fell apart and the players didn't fuck with him.

So is the argument that he deserves the chance to be a bad head coaching hire?

But not everything is that. That's the problem with taking that stance with every situation or pointing at a guy like Bieniemy after multiple hiring cycles and a failed OC stint and saying it's still just because people are racist.

Look at this hiring cycle alone....David Canales, Raheem Morris, Antonio Pierce and Jerod Mayo are head coaches.

Raheem Morris should have been a head coach again YEARS ago. He should have gotten the same Falcons job 3 years ago. Multiple people go to bat for that dude. His players love him.

Who is REALLY going to bat for Bieniemy? Head coach is a CEO job. FACE OF THE FRANCHISE. Bieniemy has always been a hot head. HE has some skeletons.

I think it's disgusting that Byron Leftwich can't even get a sniff for an OC job but fucking Josh McDaniels who we all knew was going to fail got a head coaching job. Both coached Tom Brady.

So yes there is OBVIOUSLY racism and bias but in every case that may not be all there is to it.

you will NEVER see a black coach that is not not a former player rise that fast. These white coaches are literally groomed for the jobs.

Bruce Arians won a Super Bowl in Pittsburgh and couldn't get a head coaching job until he "retired" ended up in Indy and was interim coach when Chuck Pagano got cancer and Arians won coach of the year. Otherwise he probably NEVER becomes a head coach.

Sometimes it's racial and sometimes you just don't interview well.

You're right that nepotism and bias are a staple of the NFL but they are of business in general.

There aren't many way for a minority to get to run a team without being a former player. That won't change until more minorities are in positions of power to make hires.

It sucks. But like I said you can't blame every situation on this shit. Sometimes it does more harm that good to call racism for every situation no matter what. Democrats are getting stuck in this bullshit. That's why we have Kamala Harris as a VP right now. Or it was Hillary's "turn". Just make the best fucking hire. Give everyone a chance through the door but ultimately hire the best person.

The NFL is a racist entity point black period. It’s just recently became semi normal for a black player to play quarterback. Coordinators and coaches are following behind that. You can ignore it or look away but it is what it is. Politics is another thing I discuss my thoughts on that in GD. The NFL coaching situation is not about Bienemy. He’s the latest black coach to get passed over but he’s not the first.

You're missing the whole point. We BOTH AGREE THAT THERE IS RACISM IN THE NFL.

The only point I'm making here is that is not the end all be all to every scenario or situation that involves a minority coach getting hired for a job.

If your argument is that real fairness is Bieniemy being probably a bad head coaching hire but getting the job anyway because white coaches with the same risk/background got those jobs then fine.

I'm just saying that objectively.....the guy probably isn't the best example of a unfairly passed over black head coaching candidate. He more than likely is terrible in this process too.

The bottom line is most final coaching decisions are made by old white men. In any industry where most of the decisions are made by old white men ruling out race as a factor is foolish. Like I said its not about Bienemy. He's not the first black coach to get passed over he's just the latest.

1) Racism has cost people opportunities in the NFL, true

2) Bienemy cost himself most of his opportunities in the NFL, also true

Even before he failed spectacularly in Washington he had a reputation for being a terrible interview (10+ rejections) , riding players too hard, and having never called plays

In Washington the offense did not improve in any category from the year prior. Howell got worse as the year went on. We had two good backs and never ran the ball. And his rep was that he was a dick in meetings - he made guys foam roll on the floor during film sessions so he could go longer and cut into their time for recovery sessions. That’s documented. But I’m sure you knew that already.

I like it

Defense gave up the fewest points in the league once AP took over but the offense continued to be anemic. We haven't had a real OC in years, McDaniels called the plays and Lombardi just carried a clipboard, same situation under the Gruden run. Olsen was OC but it was really Gruden.

We talk about dudes getting gigs they might not deserve. Kliff is one of those dudes by now right? His offenses DIE over the course of seasons. UGLY. All levels. Multiple times.

And trust me, I LOVED KLIFF as a college QB, so I ain't hatin. I'm glad he's around but I'm wondering about him.

Maybe with the Raiders he's gonna be just calling hella runs anyway so we'll see!

It's hard to get excited over this given the Bears offense, but I don't know enough to speculate what's on him.and what isn't.

There's been chatter the past month about the Raiders trading for Fields because they're not high enough in the draft for the top QBs and this might add to that but I think this probably means they *won't* pursue Fields

I don't recall Telesco working with Lewis at Indy or San Diego

Getsy's resume is "mentoring" a 36-year-old Aaron Rodgers and parking Justin Fields' career in neutral

him and Nathaniel Hackett getting credit/jobs because they "called plays" for an established Hall of Famer who has full autonomy over the offense is hilarious

easy for me to say but if you have zero control over one of your most important staff members, that in every football organization reports to you and you are responsible for their performance, you aren't going to be successful

Always trips me out when people talk like coaches own the team.

A former player who was blessed enough to rip off the interim tag is not getting full control of hiring his staff.

You have to be serious pedigree to be a first time HC and get the power to hire all your stadf without input from the FO.

remind me what his credentials are again? besides riding the Rodgers gravy train and NOT developing a young quarterback, which seems kind of important for where the Raiders are at

we're not talking about a veteran OC that was incumbent or has proven success somewhere else

You keep alluding to Getsy "fucking up" Fields' development. You do know that eventually they called the games to Fields strengths right? Which is the opposite of what Matt Nagy was doing. This might be who Fields is.

I'm not advocating for Fields (I've posted that Chicago should go all-in on one of the quarterbacks this year because Fields has not shown you can give him a long-term extension and you won't be lucky enough to pick first two years in a row again)

what I'm saying is, nothing that Getsy has done as an OC is worth a rehire -- in his one year at Mississippi State as an OC he made the entire offense worse, he had a veteran HOF QB in Green Bay who runs his own show, and when he had a young QB to tutor in Chicago there was no tangible progress made

even Davante Adams' best years came right after this dude left Green Bay

it's a terrible hire

This isn’t a very inspiring OC hire.

Tom Telesco is a fairly good at getting his 1st round pick right but picks 2-7 have been terrible for him.

291. "this is the last thing I’ll say about Bienemy"
In response to Reply # 290

Bienemy’s reputation outside of the DMV by the national media and people who don’t follow the team is so outsized compared to how he’s reported on in the area

He signed up to fix a bad offense and develop a young QB and failed both tasks. And you can blame the o-line (trash), and Rivera (trash), and the malaise of Snyder (antichrist) but the facts are what they are - he signed up for the gig and said he’d make us better and he didn’t.

He treated his players poorly. This is on record in a bunch of places. I don’t expect everyone to follow JP Finlay or John Keim or Nicki Jhabvala on Twitter or listen to the Kevin Sheehan podcast everyday like I do. Those names should mean nothing to you the same way the Broncos or Jets locked-in beat people mean nothing to me. But if you did know who those people are you’d also know Bienemy was widely disliked by the locker room, adding insult to injury when you consider the offense did not improve and Howell regressed.

Eric Bienemy has interviewed for head coaching opportunities over 10 times across the league and struck out. He bet on himself in DC, failed, and was roundly unpopular. That’s all we have to go off of. It’s possible that maybe, just maybe, he’s not very good and may be an asshole.

Listen to how coaches talk about Raheem Morris. Listen to how Tomlin’s players talk about him as a man. Go watch how ride or die Dan Campbell is for Brad Holmes in Detroit . There’s almost none of this fanfare for Eric Bienemy. I’d so much rather see this energy go towards making sure the black personalities who are leading successfully across the league are getting their flowers rather than trying to prop up a guy who, on resume, just doesn’t deserve any extra adoration. Rally around the dudes who deserve it and be loud about them. There’s more noise about Eric Bienemy than vocal optimism for Jerrod Mayo.

I keep hearing that the players "didn't like him".

They were already a bad team. It seems EB was brought in to improve things and probably somewhat shift the team culture. That doesn't always happen overnight especially if you don't have the right players. Often players are resistant to change and an asst coach that comes in and tries to shake things up is probably not going to be a favorite.

There was talk that some players in KC didn't like him but for whatever reason that offense fell off this year even though they have made it back to the super bowl. My whole thing is almost every other OC under Reid and McKay have gotten HC jobs while having to prove less.

Also, not sure a bad team saying a coach from a successful team was too hard on them means that much.

Lastly, I didn’t see the game on Christmas weekend but I know I saw Howell get benched and Brissett came in and brought them back before losing on a last second FG.

Wondering if Howell was the issue with this offense more than EB.

Sam Howell seems slow to process information which is normal for a young QB.

because I really don’t remember OC’s being fired publicly AFTER a head coach is let go.

Usually its a one liner about the OC not being retained or the new HC bringing in new coordinators.

that headline seemed personal, smh.
