"Should gloves like Odell wears be outlawed in NFL?"
Not sure if you saw the pre-game stuff last night. They had regular athletes and people first trying to catch footballs one handed without gloves, dropped every one. Then they had them wear gloves like Beckham Jr wears and they were making one handed catches with ease.
Kinda takes away from it a bit imo. Obviously, he's still super talented to get open and get in the positions he does to make the catches. My biggest question is why doesn't someone buy Ginn Jr a pair of these right now or maybe they did before last week's game. lolz

Machine, I bet not only will they not make any catches, they'd probably break a finger. The velocity at which these balls are coming, and the amount of interference from defenders, you know what?

i think i could put up 80rec 1200 yards and 10 tds if eli was my qb and thats not even attending practices and stuff.

just kinda makes Jerry's stickum not that big of deal to me now cuz these gloves are basically giving same advantage, not to mention psi in a damn football..

I understand everyone wears them now, well most anyways and not sure who wouldn't with the advantage they clearly give. I knew they gave an advantage but just wasn't aware it was that damn easy. lol
Im not even sure how they could enforce a ban tho. They can't ban all gloves and would have to have players line up and check their gloves before each play. As long as they don't leave residue on the ball, there would be no real way to tell.

I just chalked it up to me sucking.
But then I saved up enough cash for some cheap ass Cutter gloves. I was catching everything that came my way. I'd even look at my hands after catching the ball and wonder how the hell that happened.
I still sucked ass. But at least I wasn't Ted Ginn'n it out there

I wish people appreciated the Michael Irvin on TV experience more. His one-liners and Prime later on with the highlights are gold, Jerry. But WE'RE LOSING RECIPES! Berman and them have run everyone into the ground maybe.

Gloves help. But if you can't catch at all, you can't catch. And even if you can kinda sorta catch, it is tougher when coverage, interference, the legit fear of getting blown up, bad throws and/or fatigue are factors.
But folks are out of their minds if they think ODB ain't a catching fool.

..i love the evolution of the game, and i see the gloves as part of that. as long as they're made available to everyone, i don't see an issue with it.
however, i do believe that there should be an asterisk next to any records made/broken by players using them when the previous record holder didn't have that advantage at their disposal.

which made everyone just a lil bit faster...really the question isn't whether the gloves help...it's whether the NFL cares or not....because the spectacular catches are good for business.
