1st game of the season on the road vs a competent team, I wouldn't read much into their performance, especially since these coaches are friends and know a lot about each other's game plans, etc. TCU was the real deal last year, but I was still ok with them being left out and y'all being in there.
I don't like Baylor or A&M, and I hate Tech so please never mention me in anything related to them unless it's about laughing at their demise.

minnesota is ok, not great. it was a rather uninspiring performance by the TCU offense (I never trusted that weird ass 3-3-5 defense that Patterson runs anyway)

At full strength, I wouldnt. But every guy missing the game is a playmaker to say the least.
I think Brax will fill his new role quite nicely when all is said and done, but asking him to be the primary playmaker outside in his first game is asking a lot.

If not for self inflicted errors Osu puts that game away in the first half. With that said u could argue that OSU's turnovers are expected at this point.
But if Vegas were to line that spread again next week it would be OSU -17 to -21 instead of -14.

I thought VTs defense made some plays in the 2nd qtr, particularly on the DL. There was some nice pressure put on Jones.
I also really liked what VT was doing with backside play action. OSUs LBs were a little out of control at times and Brewer was able to make them pay for it.
That being said I knew it qas over at 28-17. Im surprised they got even 1 more TD.

the paris campbell non fumble mis-call was huge. led to a missed fg attempt instead of possibly going up 21-0 there or 17-0 at the least (with a closer fg attempt). things kind've unraveled from there for the rest of the quarter.
OSU also did VT a favor by running the speed option with Jones which VT defended perfectly. The game was out of hand at that point so maybe u can't read too heavily into it but u saw JT come in and run that shit to perfection.

I had checked out by the time Barrett came in
Jones wasn't *bad* running it, but he's not an explosive runner the way JTB is. Had a little trouble getting to the edge quick enough. Not surprised it opened up for JTB.

all offseason i heard talks about explosive offense, track meet blah blah blah. i just saw an offense that struggled to get anything going for the majority of the game. i realize its the first game, but it was their chance to make a statement and they *almost* lost to one of the worst teams in the B1G year in and year out.
do you remember the narrative when we struggled vs Minnesota?
i didn't say they should be disqualified from this year's playoff bc of last night's paltry effort. but i am going on record saying they will lose two games this year.
feel free to up this when they make the playoff (& lose to whoever they face)
