while Leinart casually strolled around the field like he was looking for a lighter so he could hit his bong, Vince made the most of the time he had, particularly on the last two drives.....he went out of bounds when he needed to...ran when he had it and passed when he had it as well.
Arm: Dan Fouts said it during the game- his mechanics don't matter- he's accurate. His release reminds me of Randall Cunninghams, but he showed he has touch and could zing it into tight spots as well.
Footwork: FLAWLESS- dude doesn't even look like his legs are moving when he manuevers in and around the pocket.....
Leadership: We have to keep in mind he had at his disposal (as did Leinart) a stud O-Line, so its easy to look calm when no one is near you, but when shit broke down, only once or twice did he rush things...the rest of the time, he looked like the game was slow for him compared to everyone else.
There is no way he's not better than Eli Manning was coming out of school. He should be the first pick, period.

After Charles fumbled, it was like an understanding came over him. He knew he had to take that team on his back. I thought he ran out of time and would lose, but he FOUND a way.
He was HELPED by USC, but he FOUND a way.
The man was damn near FLAWLESS, SEAMLESS, and calm thruout it all.
I mean, they'd bring pressure and bodies would be flying, and he'd casually pick up 10 yards right quick as if he was going to the refridgerator for a cool drink.
The man is BAD.
BAD. CLEARLY in that spread -zone option offense his skills are amplified. If they haven't found a way to use Vick and McNabb who were accurate in college correctly they MIGHT struggle finding a pro offense for him to fit into, but I doubt it.
I hope he's the 1st pick. He deserves NOTHING LESS.

I don't understand why its so hard for the 'coaches' to understand that a running QB with that type of arm is beyond valuable, particularly when you let him make the decision on the play.
I was sitting on the couch straight giggling- it was like watching a John Coltrane solo...everytime you think someone has him, this mofo is stepping into the endzone untouched!
I think what impressed me most was his ability to avoid the rush and make smart decisions on that last drive....After USC turned the ball over on downs, they were bring the house...Those linebackers got thru the line w/ ease, but yet Vince was easily able to avoid them and still hit the open reciever or make a great run....Truly remarkable, almost scary, how calm he was and just how great his instincts were throughout the game....He's gamer....
I think he'll be more than equipped to be a great NFL QB....I think I like him more than Cunningham already, lol....

He was predictably screwed out of the Heisman but he was beyond that level tonight; if he comes back and has another season like this we'd be talking about the GOAT at the NCAA level. Even as it is, he is one of the best bowl performers in history between this game and Michigan last year.
I dont know about his future as a pro but even if he doesnt stick as a quarterback, he could easily pack another 20 pounds on his frame and be a running back like no one we have ever seen.
