Draft Wiggy or Parker and play Hayward as an oversized 2? Draft Randle and make Favors the most overpaid 6th man in the league? Draft Marcus Smart?

cut it to 3 and miss a blatant hibbert foul on lopez, then call a jump ball when nobody but lopez has hands on the ball and PG hits a J... that swing there killed momentum... still with all that joe johnson got a good look and didnt hit... pacers are beatable like they were last year because their offense late in games is suspect

were faux contenders cause were 4-3 out the gate? Sure we havent looked like world beaters - but your team is 2-3

the clippers are 4-2
the grizzlies are 3-3
Brooklyn is 2-4
Hell Mia is 4-3 and just lost to Boston

Im cool shitting on my teams poor play, but theres a lot of slow starts in the league right now

They have a lot of room for improvement since they are clearly under utilizing their talents.

2peat hangover

>Im cool shitting on my teams poor play, but theres a lot of
>slow starts in the league right now
Nope.....
-the starting PGs are STILL pretty mediocre (BeverLin)
-there are no serviceable PFs on the roster (your boy T-Jones is still a D-league talent)
-Dwight still doesn't have any post moves
-Harden already got paid so he has no incentive to play D
-McHale sucks
-Unless Parsons has a meteoric improvement in a matter of 6 months there is no room for improvement. (Casspi & Cisco have already peaked early)

WHAT'S GOOD *****? What's REALLY good?!?!????!!! Ha HA!

reality is there's only so many times you can give Kyrie Irving the ball at the end of a tie-game to win & not suffer the consequences.

In this game's case, the answer was three.

91. "Terrible 3rd and beginning of the 4th"
In response to Reply # 0

Jeremy lost that game for us in the 3rd with his turnovers. He got to the hoop so easy in the 1st half. Clippers adjusted and packed the lane when he had the ball. he didnt adjust and pass or take the jumpshot. Those turnovers swung the game.

With that said, the lineup McHale trotted out to start the 4th with Bev, Casspi, Garcia, parsons, and Dwight was DOA. You have 3 shooters but nobody to create and give them the ball. If you wanna go with that lineup - you have to play through the post and let Dwight Facilitate. Say what you want about Dwight but hes a good passer.

Were not hitting our open 3s. 31% is terrible. We gotts start hitting, the balls gotta start moving.

Dont get me started on mcHale. If I see the twin tower lineup to start the game one more time... We're 0-7 to start 1st quarters this season. IT JUST DOESNT WORK. Asik is fine on his own. Not both those guys together. Stop.

Start holding these guys accountable to move the ball on offense and defense. Everyone - including Jeremy Lin. We have a 2 week stretch of relatively winnable games. We need to hit that stretch with 4-5 wins before the schedule gets tough.

nobody is saying anything about MCW being better than Kyrie Irving.

Jrue Holiday, sure.

point is...niggas take how good Kyrie for granted. I've made all kinds of concessions to make these manufactured rivalries "fair."

And I wasn't going at MCW in any way, just using him as a reference. Remember, I was cysing MCW before the start of last year's college season and throughout the season and it ended with Ernie upping a thread after his Goomba ass PG hit 3 on BMac and Kansas and then "outplaying" MCW in the final four.

This MCW thing is basically a Harden re-run. Niggas ain't understand how he could excel in the L (athleticism) and he had an awful final college game.

Now everybody wanna be friends. It really is disgusting.

That's a different thing tho, plus he's a Michigan fan so of course he was gonna be partying & upping threads.

Is he now talking up MCW? Because I haven't seen it.

What does any of this have to do with MCW & Kyrie Irving tho?

I'm happy about how MCW's started because he's on my team & playing better in his first two weeks than the 'all-star' we traded for Nerlens Noel + likely another lotto pick.

I didn't have a strong opinion of him either way, liked that he was big & athletic plus defended. Didn't like that he wasn't a great shooter and went to Syracuse.

Kinda wanted to see CJ McCollum but once I started hearing more (his growing up playing with Nerlens, how the best thing for him would be to go to a team that would let him play big minutes early to learn on the job without looking over his shoulder) I was fine with it.

But I'm not gonna pretend I knew that he was gonna be a guy on this week's show would only make 'maybe 3, 4 All-Star games'.

Shiiiiit, I'll take that with where we got him all day.

nah, i'm talking about all the other "rivalries" people have thrown at kyrie...steph curry JUST broke out in his 4th year at 25 and no was opening their mouths about how much better he was than kyrie until last spring's playoffs run...jrue already done with, but that was one...NJJ on year four of doing absolutely NADA and i gotta entertain that...like, i'm busy tryna go at Russ, Rose and CP3 and i'm being asked to engage with niggas cysing small fish.

how's it different? he and others scoffed when i said MCW was the best PG prospect in the draft and he upped threads and him and OTHERS partied about it. now, these same niggas tryna nudge they way into some MCW stock. i'm just saying it's kinda disgusting.

already told you. MCW, for as good as he is and for as revelatory as he's been for a lotta dudes, kyrie irving's ascension is that much more impressive and dudes take it for granted and try to play it all kinds of ways. he's gotta be continue to be better at every stage than all the small fish. how many years it take curry?...wall still ain't done nothing...and these niggas get CYSED...just saying...either kyrie that good and should be EXPECTED to make the playoffs and get MVP consideration in year 3, when no one asked that of curry or NJJ in their 3rd years...or he's simply not that good.

i EXPECT greatness from him. but that don't mean niggas can not expect shit from other dudes and act like it's okay when those others dudes don't do shit and then by ready to cyse when they do finally do something. took curry a while...all i'm sayin. too the nigga a while. all i'm sayin.

gotcha, those'll take care of themselves, most non-invested people I'd estimate would take Kyrie moving forward.

he's just gotta get into the playoffs (even tho I don't like his team or coach much) because that's the main thing folks in that tier can go back to citing.

I recall the post where you were saying Burke was garbage (and as a pro, he may be yet) and that getting upped once the Final 4 came.

To me a superstar does make the playoffs by the third year & makes that leap in stature to Top 10 overall type of player, which is what I expect Kyrie to do.

I gave up on Wall being in that convo already.

Steph broke out immediately after Monta's gunning ass was shipped out. It basically parallels Harden rising to stardom after leaving Russy/KD or T-Mac blowing up sans Vince. Dude was ready-made when he came into the league & it's his ankle that has hampered him more than anything.

Nobody was saying Harden was better than Wade while he was in OKC nor was anyone cycsing T-Mac as the best 2 guard while he was in Toronto. Dude got the chance & he blew-up, Kyrie was handed the keys to the team one Day 1 & has shown no improvement in his point guard skills unlike NJJ or Spice.

WHAT'S GOOD *****? What's REALLY good?!?!????!!! Ha HA!

and by the time Jrue got to 18 & in his fourth season (while obviously not having near the defensive or boarding presence) I wouldn't say that the Sixers were 'overachieving'.

and MCW is 22? he only played 2 yrs at cuse
did cuz get left down a couple times or something
jalen rose talked about cats doing this to get an advantage against their peers
smh

edit to your edit:
mcw and jrue are only a yr apart. jrue played 1 yr of college ball and didn't even play PG while there
the yrs of pro exp. thing is irrelevant since jrue spent half his career literally learning on the job and their age difference is minimal
jrue and mcw were putting up the same numbers at the same age on the pro level to make it super clear for you

and they were a 9th seed with a roster that was even worst than this one
dudes like damien wilkins and malik wayns actually started for the sixers last yr so yea...

except they weren't, since MCW is at more points/assists by a hair of last year's Jrue while doubling him in steals & averaging 2-3 extra boards.

Meanwhile Jrue's down to 13 & 5 or something in N.O. so far but we'll leave that part alone.

The fact that we are even having a discussion two weeks in about a rookie perhaps doing more already than our 'All Star' of last year, while we flipped said AS for Nerlens & another first-rounder/probable-lotto says I like the deal more than I did on Draft Night.

yup it's early. i can wait until shit normalizes
NO is middle of the pack in the west (9th seed i think) and jrue/reke/ewok are all shooting less than 40% i think
davis is a beast. if even one of them 3 dudes gets it together the team will be good.
i just want both draft picks to be outside of the franchise player range and i'm good
have no problem with mcw being good
if this is the new iteration of a young sixers nucleus that won't make it pass the 2nd round for the next x yrs i'm fine with that
shit i even hope evan turner plays well enough to scoop a max deal
another year wasted on false hope is bout the best i could have wished for

Davis is a beast, that's their saving grace, they screwed up horribly with those offseason deals & giving Tyreke 44 mill.

make a qualifying one-year-offer by end of June and/or match someone else's offer.

I still don't see them making the playoffs tho & wouldn't be surprised if they traded Turner sometime during the season if the right deal came along.

First time in a long time this team is being owned, led and coached by people who know what they're doing. Nothing is being done short time and nobody has anything to gain by just getting into the playoffs.

As for jrue. For the next 3-4 years we'll be paying MCs, nerlens and #1 pick the same amount he's making. And they'll be learning on the job. I wish dude the best but this was the right move in the log and short term.

Let bucks, cavs, and wiz battle for right to first round fodder.
