crept in unawares and staring persists

like twists in a plot some forgot

then half-remembered rendering the slightest

tic and reaction sort of practically

miniscule though some fueled up

on junk food as was mood-inducing hijinx

like brinksmanship off-kilter some pilfered

then the miscues piled up like subtle

remarks framed by dark musings

refusing to be ignored due to flaws

and fallout - people really blind, or just absent in their minds?
