Last night I saw a sister, a mother, a wife, A brilliant woman and divine creation of God Express her love, her loyalty, her commitment To her husband, her partner, the father of her children Her lover and her friend I could hear her heart beat for him
She stood proud and confident Clearly creating a blueprint of what this man she loves dearly Has in store for our families, our children, our elders, our country A change the masses hope for A change the majority with power fear I could hear her heart beat for him
Engaging me with her enthusiasm Her warm yet radiant tone Filled with passion for her mate Who has taken on the mission To lead our nation into a better future I could hear her heart beat for him
She made no promises that He could not keep For tonight was not about promises Tonight was a matter of the heart The reason great men have great women To let their light shine and to do God’s will for all I could hear her heart beat for Him
