Emboldened by your giddy refusal, I cut adrift
thoughts of your naked feet climbing up my back and slump
into my corner ashamed for shit is fucked upbullshitis.
My desire, my need to possess and therefore oppress
is the lone agent of my undoing.
You cannot be held at fault, for we all know you are too
much.

If you never understand a thing I say, know this at least,
if only this,
Thee is a barnyard locked away behind the snow,
and there you can come and I will always hold you
as tight as the sun holds the midday sky and
We will dancily sway in incandescent light until you
innocently fall asleep in my aching arms.
