This water
I pour it generously
From my deepest vessel
Aspiring with the most desperate of hopes
That its chill will shock
The sleeper to wake
Because I know the trouble
Of those dreams
And feel it my duty
To somehow chase way the demons
Lest they leap from sleeping head
To beating heart
And lace blood with toxin of grief
Atop grief yet settled

I, with chakras opened wide
Invite divinity to take charge
Of these hands
So that when laid upon the sleeper’s chest
There will be a great conjure of energy
Of all those before me
And the sleeper will be abashed
Body rocked and jerked
Discomforted and awakened
With passion for change
And desire to shake loose
The groggy aftermath
Of such a long slumber in fantasy

This drink that I offer upon waking
I am not the alchemist of the brew
I know the ingredients but not the portions
It was specifically measured
Esoteric in nature for this particular resurrection
Oh! but when libation passes thru lips
And coats tongue with honeyed truth
It will flip language
Alter walk
Refine thought
Lift afflictions and …
