My dark place seems taboo. Just speaking the words "dark place" causes uncertainty once delivered. But is my dark place a place of shame, infamy, disgrace? Does anyone feel violated or fear harm in my dark place? Do I deny my dark place because I myself find it offensive? But my dark place is to me as words are to a dictionary. No matter what, "it's in there". Once i claimed my dark place, a ray of light flourished. It's not dark at all!!! It was only as dark as the the denial that followed. So, I no longer declare this place as "dark". From this day forth, I exult this place as "ME"!!!!

it seems you have experienced something some have only found in reading scripture...in the Quran there is an ayat (verse) that says
"Its night doth He Endow with darkness, And its splendor doth He bring out" Quran 79:29
further reading states both the darkness and the light each have with them their own beauty and its utility for man. So darkness has a divine purpose so many are consumed by the lure they often lose the purity found along the way and become obsessed by what is hidden or "taboo" the "splendor" of your journey is only beginning
"keep pennin till the earth birth's your rightful seed then nurture it wit more ink..." ASIEM "Kuun fiyah Kuun" Quran (Be and it is) " A writer takes his pen to write the words again that all in love is fair" Stevie Wonder
