"SOME OL FLOWS"

Phenom:
yea whizz kid smashed the mic/
like it was a late hit before the ball was hiked/
and i was the tackler haha sike/
hustling is what the boy liked/
so he sold coke for the pegs on his bike/
but he aint know what he sought/
im doin right is what he thought/
even though these forces were illegally bought/
mommas tears is what he brought/
cause she just knew he was better taught/
a smart kid/
but now in class heh fought/
ended up gettin suspended/
now momma was really offended/
so she put him out/
on his own he had learn what lifes bout/
nothin ahead but the darkness/
he thought man why did I start this/
why couldnt I control my fist/
the streets gon eat me alive/
but im not gonna let the hood digest this/
so grabbed the pen and the paper/
and rhymed about the hater/
the women degrater/
servin food for thought/
yes he was the waiter/
influenced by kick push/
now he's a skater/
no longer did he grind/
hustling was no longer on his mind/
workin his works that would change mankind/
the park had no skate sign so he was fined/
yep grind left his mind/
excecpt for on the rail/
sometimes he'd bust his nuts/
yea he would bail/
cause no body has touched perfection/
then he meet his chick/
yeah in came love and affection/
his mind told him its all bout the erection/
and now his baby/
had a baby/
I hope its a girl said his lady/
but the thought of this made him crazy/
he aint wonna help out/
he was lazy/
he could barely do for himself/
plus he had little wealth/
cant afford insurance for health/
so he prayed too the lord please save me/
so i can raise my lil baby/
he was happy to bring up a child/
wont all that mad/
naw wont all that sad/
he was gone be a good dad/
like the dad he never had/
and on his girls sixteenth birthday he said that wasnt all that bad/
so if u man enough to give it up/
the least u can do is be a good dad/

Phenom:
he had a ghetto boy vibe/
an abominable ride/
but his boss wont payin him enough to provide/
cause he had to help momma out/
and the two siblings that stuck by his side/
so at hustling he eyed/
saw how the pusher man was ballin and oversupplied/
so the struggle/
forced him to hustle/
no more hub caps/
on the bubble there was now chrome/
maybe this fortune would get him out his zone/
wanted to move from the hood/
escape from the ills for good/
but naw he had the game misunderstood/
it was survival of the fittest/
and he wasnt all that fit/
the niggas on the block told him you gotta commit/
u cant stray/
naw u cant leave it/
once you turn the book to this page/
you stuck with the illness and rage/
yes the hood was sick/
and he wanted to bail out quick/
but he thought he had no choice, so hustlings what he picked/
so tell the devil your souls not for sell/
he cant afford it/
like its excessive bail/
plus hustling is a dead end road/
and the deadend is hell/
either that or jail/
so dont bite into that/
its a lil stale/
but they see the consequences with blind eyes/
like they fingering for the brail/
ive done invested in this/
so my souls not for sale/
thats the way it goes down in the concrete jungle/
niggas start to hustle because of the struggle/
the result of livin poo/
is making your self esteem low/
but im here to influence change/
and positive role model to the game/
not just diggin it for the fame/
cause the heart dont change/
my thoughts will remain/
yeah imma stay the same/
when i come/
u gone remember me/
like you Remembered The Titans/
become a legend like Jay-Z without the hyphens/
now lets take a reality check/
and earn back our respect/

L.O.D mane lords of death/ so def/ everyday seeps closer to your last breath/ so I follow the paths of the fossilized foot steps/ of lyrical creatures/ so these niggas are featured as the most incredible teachers/ my role models idles heroes and my leaders/ motivational speakers/ words for the wise and lyrics for the readers/ so we climb to success/ victorious steps/ to higher heights and deeper depths/ somethin new for your black lungs to inhale/ yea a breath of fresh air/ naw I aint the kings heir/ I aint going for the crown or the diamond covered chair/ so I pivot my fitted unfold and brush the grass off the lawn chair/ a diamond in the rough/ a stone thats so rare/
