I’ve been knocking on the door
For far too long
It is near time for me to

Turn around and face my existence
To cast away the slow methods
Of self degradation

Nobody would answer behind
The polished oak doorways
Because it hasn’t been my time

To step into that alternate domain.
My knuckles are bloodied
And my will is weak

A new approach is vital
Or I fear I shall actually enter
And face what I so desperately sought
